Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is the best tool for remote collaborative work. We as consultants are kings of Post-Its and were forced to stop using them because of Covid. Now we use Miro for that and for everything: Presentations, Canvas Prints, Store Data, and analysis it. Your only limit is your imagination (and expertise with it).

Pros

  • Innovation and update of the app
  • Community and ideas
  • Design and visual aesthetic
  • Ease of use

Cons

  • Large text management
  • Ctrl + Z Mechanichs
  • Videocall in app
  • Integrations compatible with the Miro Desktop App
  • Improved productivity
  • Reduced moving times and costs (everything is online)
  • Improved design quality on proyect outputs (Customer Journeys, Archetypes, etc.)
It was easy, we started slow, using two consultant accounts for the team, and then we advanced into having personal accounts for every member, now we use more of the features. Everyone uses Miro on a daily basis. The accounts were simple to generate, because we all have our company mail and every time there's a new teammate, it's as easy as inviting him via mail and he's onboard.
It has been advancing in this regard, we use almost all video call apps, Teams, Zoom, and Meet. Recently they launched a Miro & Meet integration which my teammates love, but I use the Miro desktop app and the integration only works on the browser. But I know for a fact that they're working every day on newer integrations, and sometimes it's challenging to keep up to date with them and use them, even if they're just what i need.
Before Miro, it was impossible to work from home without feeling useless. We had remote work one day a month, but it was doing audio transcriptions. Now we all work from home 5 days a week and it's more productive than before. Also today we have teammates from across the world, we're based in Chile, and I have colleagues from Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, and even Spain. The only limit there are time zones, which make it difficult. Otherwise, i feel like they are right next to me all the time.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Lucidchart is focused on wireframing, the design part is lacking and it's more of an online document than a collaborative tool. MURAL on the other hand i feel is a bit clunky and it's design is worse than Miro. I never got to see the princings of these tools, but if I had to guess, id say MURAL is a cheaper version of Miro, and I guess theres a value in that.
It's beneficial for remote meetings, workshops, and entry-level design. We work on Miro in every team meeting we have and also I've started to use the Kanban feature to organize our projects. In contrast. It isn't easy to make our clients use Miro every time. They tend to be more comfortable just watching while we do the work on the board.
