Overall Satisfaction with Lucidspark

Lucidspark has been used to assist big room planning and sprint planning. Particularly, it is used to collaborate with others on a large scale and make inter-dependencies very visual.

Pros

  • Easy to draw shapes and drag around.
  • Easy to show links between shapes.
  • Easy sharing options and older structures.

Cons

  • Large boards (e.g. ~10x A3 sheets) are very slow to load.
  • When large numbers of people are collaborating, the sheets slow down.
  • Some changes weren't saved properly - afternoon's work lost.
  • It has made visual representations of JIRA backlogs, etc. much easier to digest.
Quirks of lines and frames need to be understood to work effectively.

I have found competitors' virtual whiteboards to be more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing; otherwise, it works ok.
