Overall Satisfaction with Gusto

Gusto is utilized by my employer for all things work-related such as time tracking, benefit selection, time off, and the convenience of having it all in a centrally located app is such a relief. I also appreciate being able to edit my time on the app as sometimes I can forget to clock in/out.

The product also provides and opportunity to get paid 2 days in advance, a feature that I do not use, but if the moment arises when it is needed - I am glad to know that I have that as an option.

Pros

  • User Experience - great app interface
  • Staying on top of communications and resolving queries in a timely manner
  • Visibility into my options as an employee

Cons

  • More insight as to why the bluetooth needs to be enabled in order for me to edit my time
  • Benefits section where they display other vendors feels out of place - Workday would never do that
  • App can crash at times and spazzes out when I try to enter time
Super easy interface, like I said earlier the ability to manage all of these things within one app is highly convenient for employees.

I would say this is my favorite time tracking interface that I have used and I would prefer to use this interface only moving forward regardless of my employer.
Workday assumes employees are going to take advantage of time tracking, which is diabolical and a complete waste of time when you have to create unnecessary touch points with management to edit time submissions.

Humans are prone to error, having to message my boss because I forgot to clock in is not only a waste of her time, but so messy and unnecessary.

My employer manages a small business and having everything in one app is super convenient both for her and for me as well.

I believe that this is a great option as it imparts more trust in the employee to manage their time tracking, as opposed to services like Workday that demonstrate little trust in employees.
