Overall Satisfaction with Gusto

I use Gusto in my organization for a small business. It is primarily used to record and clock my time in and time out. It is very useful for checking how I spend my money and gives me a curated summary of what I spent my money on, which includes the different categories such as Shopping, Restaurants, Gas, etc.

Pros

  • Organized, curated summary of spending habits
  • The ability to clock time in and time out when working remote
  • The seamlessness when tracking Payroll and transferring money from one location to another.

Cons

  • The benefits package could be improved
  • The ability to reach out to someone directly from Gusto through email
  • A more in-depth understanding of TrueWork
  • It is definitely an easy, intuitive platform to utilize with lots of helpful features!
  • The Benefits package is very poor and is not useful to me at all.
  • I enjoy how it breaks up the spending insights into several categories such as Food, Transportation, Shopping, Housing Medical, etc.
I gave Gusto this rating because overall, it is an excellent, versatile program that allows for optimal success and encourages productivity as a whole. In terms of tracking pay and monitoring a person's spending habits (consumer insights), it is spot on for that. However, one feature that it lacks and needs to improve is the benefits package, which is not really good for me. It provides me with next to nothing in terms of benefits. The only benefit it gives me is prescriptions, which is pretty much it. I enjoy the ability to clock time in and out while working remotely. I also like the organization feature of seeing all the coworkers working in your company, which is great because it allows for me to get to know everyone's name.
I selected Gusto because it was an easier software HR program to utilize. My boss also implemented using this since the start of her business in 2019. They offer more features unlike Workday and it is much easier to navigate. WorkDay was harder to navigate certain things such as sending a little note when you would miss a day (UTO). Gusto can do similar things, but in less steps.

Yes

Did Gusto live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Gusto go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Gusto again?

Yes

One area where Gusto is well suited is in the ability to easily track pay and see where improvements can be made in a person's spending habits. This allows for better productivity for a person. Additionally, I enjoy that you can track our time by clocking time in and time out directly on the website. This is great for someone like me who works remotely. However, I wish that the Gusto Wallet app would improve by adding a Track your Time feature where you can clock time in and time out without always going directly to the website to do it. One area in which it may b less appropriate is in the formality of it. Someone who is working for a casually, laid-back company might not need all the extensive features that Gusto provides.
