Overall Satisfaction with Gong
As marketers, we are always trying to gain firsthand insights into sales conversations so we can improve our marketing efforts and align our marketing messaging with the language that our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) uses. Gong has allowed us to do this. Gong puts our marketing team "in the room" and gives us a front-row seat for every sales call. After listening to just a handful of sales calls, we were able to refresh the language on some of our core landing pages based on how our prospects described the problems they faced with booking appointments. We immediately saw a noticeable increase in conversion rates.

- Conversation insights:
- Ability to save snippets of conversations to come back to rather than watch the full call again.
- Share calls and snippets of conversations to colleagues:
- Categories conversations and snippets into folders so you can go back and review a bank of examples quickly. This has been particularly helpful when examining the types of language our prospects use, allowing us to go back and improve our marketing copy.
Cons
- Searching for specific conversations:
- Being able to differentiate between sales calls easily, client calls, and internal calls (However, this might be an issue on our end on how we are using the tool).
- It has helped increase the conversion rate of our website by drawing insights from conversations and translating them into marketing copy that better aligns with the language our target audience uses.
- No tangible impact has been noted yet, but we are now utilizing these insights to enhance our sales collateral, which will hopefully lead to a positive impact on deal velocity and closed won revenue. While at the same time, reduce the number of deals moving to closed lost.
