Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

DraftSight is used by an individual department for hydraulic and electrical diagrams. We're a small company so there are only two employees--including me--who use DraftSight.

Pros

  • Very versatile
  • Easy to use
  • Cheap
  • Made for everything

Cons

  • Official libraries for electric, hydraulic, etc. components (diagram)
  • An easier way to use layout
  • Faster to make diagram for clients (cost gain)
  • Easier to use on computers and agencies
SOLIDWORKS, Cegid Retail (Yourcegid), Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
Very well suited to convert old PDFs to DWG files and make them up to date in a short time.
Well suited to make "homemade" diagrams without being limited by the software
Less appropriate for making multipage diagrams (more than 10 pages)
