Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
Dayforce is being used across our whole organization for our HR/Payroll needs. We just had our first commit a few weeks ago. It solves the use of multiple systems, duplicate data entry, and employee experience.
Pros
- Dayforce is a one-stop shop. We used Ceridian's previous system and had 5 different log-ins for administrators. This solves duplicate and data accuracy.
- It is very intuitive as well. Employees are able to jump right in with hardly any training on the product.
- The payroll process is very streamlined - no more batch processing!
Cons
- The WFM section for salaried employees is lacking. We understand that we are using Dayforce not as a punch tool but for project tracking for government grants and the functionality there is lacking.
- While the payroll process is streamlined, I do feel like there are a lot of clicks to commit a payroll. I have to commit timesheets, wait a few minutes for each of those processes to save and then do it again in Payroll. Seems redundant and takes a while.
- There is still a lot of code for clients to know if we need to update Dayforce for our needs. This makes it difficult to configure or customize certain processes without help from support.
- It's hard to say the impact on our business thus far. We have only used Dayforce for 2 payrolls. But the outlook looks promising! As soon as we get our feet wet after implementation is 100% complete we should be able to start seeing the benefits.
Oh my - I LOVE having the single application for payroll. No more batch processing, no more mainframes, no duplicate deductions from benefits or incorrect loading of timesheet information. It's great for accuracy and timeliness and my sanity!
