Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

We utilize Avalara's AvaTax platform for product taxability for sales taxes nationwide. It is directly connected to an ERP for real time transactional tax determination. This direct connectivity allows for reporting to be generated for sales tax compliance, transactional review, and state audit support. We have direct access to tax rates and and the ability to create custom rules.

The front end direct user capabilities are user friendly and do not always necessitate IT support teams to make changes. The ability to add additional companies or locations has been straightforward... plug and play. The ability to review product taxability categories and tax types are easily identifiable and straight forward.
Avalara has provided additional content for product taxability and tax rates. Additionally the ease of use or user friendliness of the platform for our tax team to utilize the full capabilities of Avalara has proven to be best in class. Other platforms may require additional layers of inputs to generate the taxability outcomes requiring additional user time.

Avalara has the platform to be able to have support for all products at any time. Would be perfect if all products for all industries were supported. While custom rules are great, they do have to be maintained and tracked as state rules and regulations change versus directly supported in the platform.
