Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

We use Avalara for sales tax. It helps the tax department calculate tax liabilities and file returns. Avalara only helps file sales tax returns from the US.

Cons

  • Good with filing returns.
  • Has great matrixes.
  • Great reports.
Complications with invoices that have multiple line items.
Have only used Avalara. They are up to date on rate changes and legistation changes
Avalara can appropriately calculate tax for straight forward transactions. However, it is not very reliable for calculating tax for complicated seniors or invoices. For example, multiple line items with multiple shipping addresses. Coding can be faulty.
