Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica
We use Acumatica to keep track of employees' time, manage projects, manage inventory levels in our warehouses, as well as track our AR and AP. Our company has an eclectic mix of work that we handle, including construction and project management, and the flexibility of Acumatica provides us with a way to integrate the different these different use cases in a single source of truth.
Pros
- Provides a great way to host all required project information.
- Customization is likely the biggest strength. There is so much that can be done to provide everyone with the data that they need in the way that makes the most sense to them.
- I love how easy it is to build customized GI reports. My company is always asking for different ways to view the data as each department has it's own way of doing things, and we are able to accommodate that.
Cons
- Would be great if there was an easy way to build an gantt chart directly in Acumatica without needing to lean on a 3rd party.
- We need a way to build a crew schedule, where we could assign employees to projects on a daily basis. Unfortunately there is nothing available that seems about to correctly handle this for us.
- The inventory can be complicated to understand, with transfers and issues between projects. We've struggled with building reports that easily explain where the stock is in the system.
- It has improved the way that our projects are linked to our time cards.
- Inventory has been difficult to handle, mostly due to a bug during implementation that has since been fixed.
- Something seems wrong with our bank reconciliation. They are extraordinarily slow (15 seconds or more when checking a reconciliation off). This has negatively impacted the amount of effort needed to do bank recs.

Acumatica has helped to better serve our customers by providing us with a better experience when tracking projects. The time cards and stock items are tracked on each project and gives us a better idea of how things fall within our budget. It has also been good for tracking costs between different departments.
We do a lot of project management, and Acumatica helps keep track of the inventory that is being used by each specific project. We have made a customization on the projects screen to track all the different project dates (as we are using tasks for something different) and the fact that we can do that has helped us tremendously. Just today we actually had our VAR create a calculated field to track the percent complete of each particular date.
