Business Problems Solved
Zillow has become a go-to platform for many people looking to rent or buy a home. Users find that it saves them time and increases their efficiency when they are searching for properties, especially given that it provides them with accurate and reliable information. By using Zillow, real estate agents can attract potential tenants or buyers and list properties in multiple places with one post, which helps maintain high occupancy rates. Moreover, Zillow is an excellent tool for lead generation since it reaches thousands of potential renters through multiple sites, making it easier to bring new leads to the door.
Additionally, Zillow allows users to research competitive rental and sales prices and determine the estimated value of a property. It assists in finding comps in the neighborhood and providing quick searches for information on houses on the market. Furthermore, Zillow is helpful for brand building as customers can leave reviews about agents' and investors' work. This platform connects clients with new leads quickly, reduces the time an agent spends prospecting, and enables them to spend more time selling properties. All in all, Zillow simplifies property search tasks by providing users with real market information on housing markets for designated markets that they are interested in while minimizing the work required to source quality leads.
I use it for searching for potential properties for my glamping business that meet my listing criteria. I have saved searches and saved properties that I follow and track. I once used their contact form to get in touch with a realtor directly to arrange a property viewing. But that also put me on a list where the realtor called me many times after that.
Pros
Save searches
Manage favorite properties
Clean interface
Cons
Map view and flood plain views
Zoomed out / nation-wide map view
Automatically Showing listings in a general area, rather than the specific city boarder
Likelihood to Recommend
I used Zillow for the longest time and it worked okay. But then I started using Redfin and I like it much better. They are both very similar, but Redfin allows you to see the flood map across the whole property, which is important for me when considering spacial use of the property.
