We use as a Creative Workflow between clients and designers. I am a client in this process.
Pros
The workflow visual is easy to follow
The due dates and reminders are so helpful
Having visibility into where your job is in the workflow process is great!
Cons
we have a delay in receiving email notifications but that could be the security on our end.
this is very minor but to be able to customize Wrike to follow our company Brand with fonts and colors.

We mostly use Wrike for as a workflow program but I also use it for event planning. The Gantt chart is very helpful to keep me on track with timelines and due dates.

Wrike centralized several excel workbooks into 1 source of information and provided easy tracking and follow-up for action items. The initial use case allowed us to collect employee input and review the management team's response monthly to ensure action items do not stagnate. Immediately after the initial use case, we transferred our monthly review process to Wrike. This centralized the meeting notes and helped us stay on top of action items. In development are a maintenance request system and a process engineering tracker.
Pros
Action item tracking
Centralized Data / Single source of data
Request Forms
Project status tracking
Reporting on status and data within Wrike
Cons
Aggregation and manipulation of data and not just reporting, specifically grouping of data

Wrike can be modified to track almost any type of project. Their dynamic request forms are a powerful tool to collect and kick off any type of project. Tracking meeting notes and outputs helps keep project teams on track. Getting action items out of email is huge.
We use Wrike to manage ongoing projects, development and operation tasks. What brings most value is the easy way of creating the Gantt charts, scheduling and monitoring tasks as well as communicating responsibilities with the project team. Currently we are implementing customized workflows, request forms and custom item types which helps us tailor the Wrike experience for each departments need.
Pros
Different overviews of the tasks - dashboards, gantt charts, lists, tables
Lot of options for customization - workflows, custom item types, custom project types
Great support team, easy to reach with immediate response and help to any question we have
Good integration with other applications (Outlook, Teams etc.)
Cons
More options for filtering tasks on the overview (e.g. by the custom fields)

Well suited: 1. We are starting a new project within process optimization for Purchasing Team - all tasks and communication are set up in Wrike, and Project Team members are assigned to their own tasks. Project Manager has an easy overview of all tasks, schedules, and progress of the project. Whenever some tasks are late, he can see who and why are late and take proper action. Project Team members can see which tasks are assigned to them and what deadlines they have. 2. Thanks to Request Forms, employees without Wrike access can send their ideas for development to Project Manager and thanks to automation rule, the idea would appear on Project Managers task list in Wrike. Less appropriate: 1. Having an overview and manage the daily, repetitive operation tasks.
