Workday Analytics

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Workday Prism Analytics is crucial in tracking employee timecards as well as integrating them into a system that allows employees to keep track of their PTO and previous paystubs. The product combines a multitude of offerings into a single interface that presents users with a synchronized source of data for the workplace. As an employee it allows me to personally keep track of my time off and coordinate that with any potential vacations and/or my overall schedule. It allows me to analyze my paystubs in-depth to determine deductions in pay and the time for which I am compensated. In my previous workplace, this information was restricted to the manager. By offering this to employees, it leads to a much smoother process.

Pros

  • Keeping track of paystubs.
  • Allowing the use and tracking of time off.
  • Allowing for internal referrals for job offerings.

Cons

  • Internal referrals can use a simpler interface. Some options are difficult to use.
  • Making it easier to access employee documents.
  • Accessibility of entering a specific paystub.

Most Important Features

  • Tracking of data and employee documentation/demographics.
  • Updating time off.
  • Paystub registering.

Return on Investment

  • Improved ROI by decreasing the necessary time investment that managers must make to upkeep employee data sectors.
  • Improved ease of access for employees, reducing unnecessary communication between employees and management.
  • Has led to fewer accounting errors overall.
