Workday Analytics
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Workday Prism Analytics is crucial in tracking employee timecards as well as integrating them into a system that allows employees to keep track of their PTO and previous paystubs. The product combines a multitude of offerings into a single interface that presents users with a synchronized source of data for the workplace. As an employee it allows me to personally keep track of my time off and coordinate that with any potential vacations and/or my overall schedule. It allows me to analyze my paystubs in-depth to determine deductions in pay and the time for which I am compensated. In my previous workplace, this information was restricted to the manager. By offering this to employees, it leads to a much smoother process.
Pros
- Keeping track of paystubs.
- Allowing the use and tracking of time off.
- Allowing for internal referrals for job offerings.
Cons
- Internal referrals can use a simpler interface. Some options are difficult to use.
- Making it easier to access employee documents.
- Accessibility of entering a specific paystub.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for a large corporate setting where a multitude of individuals is employed. Allows changes to be made efficiently to accommodate them. For small employee bases consisting of small teams, while still useful, it is not necessarily worth the investment. Based on my experience, the product offers a level of access that I would recommend to any organization seeking to provide their employees with transparency.
