I utilized this app while at the 2025 [...]Conference. Overall, I was very impressed with the platform and the networking tools. I loved being able to manage my schedule and have it ready to go to guide my day.
Pros
Direct networking with attendees and opportunities to meet.
Organizing the conference's agenda.
Connected well with the attendee roster available. I really liked the bookmark feature that helped me quickly remember whom I chatted with.
Cons
I did notice some lag in messages being received after being sent.
I also found it hard to go back to a community group meet up for updates. You had to manually go back through all the other groups to find the one I signed up for. I would see updates come through, but couldn't access them directly.

I think it works really well as a way to organize yourself while at a conference. As well, to network with said attendees I found it very valuable to remember names. Having an automatic rolodex with everyone I met and ensure I had their info to connect later.
We used Whova for SEO Estonia, and it was, by far, the best event app I've ever used. It had everything, while also keeping it short and straight to the point. WebSummit, MWC, GITEX, all of these huge events were lacking in this department. The highlight for me was the "web app", where I could see the attendees over my laptop. For any sales roles, this is a huge help across the outreaching process.
Pros
Web App
Messaging between Attendees
Agenda
Responsiviness/Performance
Cons
Demand that people uploads their profile pic
Demand that people inserts their company's name

Any tech events or conferences would love to have Whova as their app, no matter the size of it. Besides that, I loved Whova so much, that I don't much else to talk about it, besides that it's really great.
I used Whova at a recent conference. I found it to be very good and helpful. However, I wanted a directory of all attendees in one place. The way it is set up now, I would have to go into each individual person's profile and get contact information. Very frustrating and time-consuming.
Pros
Agenda
Exhibitors information
Speakers Bios
Cons
A directory of all participant's' names and contact information in one place

I liked the floor map and the opportunity to ask questions for each session. A directory in one place would be helpful.
I used Whova as a featured speaker for a conference that happened this past weekend. Whova made my conference experience go so smoothly! It allowed for event organizers to seamlessly email everyone at the 600+ person conference to update us on key updates as it came up--everything from lost items to changes in conference schedules were updated very easily. I was able to keep in touch easily with conference attendees and visually see everything that was happening at the conference and even was able to see events and meetups happening outside of the conference if I wanted to attend any of those. I would highly recommend this tool for anyone looking to have a smooth-sailing conference experience for attendees and speakers.
Pros
The user interface was easy to use
The events coordinated by conference attendees happening outside of the conference were easy to find
The event schedule was easy to see

Whova is probably well suited for conferences above 7 attendees where it's important for everyone to be on the same page and where attendees may not all be staying in the same location.
I used Whova at a conference hosted by the Michigan [..]. I was a speaker discussing your new technology platform. Whova aided with all the conference arrival details, event times and their location. It was an easy download app to connect with venders and additional meet and greet opportunities. I am not much for the point challenge but I did see many participated in the social aspect to the app. I would recommend Whova to other companies that are coordinating big events, it was a useful tool for all user groups.
Pros
Event Timelines
Attendee Lists
Participating Vender Lists
Personal Areas of Interest Selection List
Cons
Speaker Timing Schedules need to better regulated. My session started when it was suppose to end for the next speaker. That disrupts the event schedule for attendees that were looking to attend my discussion.

Multiple day conferences and events that are in multiple facility locations are definitely a must. Hotel and shuttle information to and from event are extremely useful for out of towers. Smaller events in one location will most likely not benefit from the app. I could even see this app being used for an out to town wedding app to help coordinate week long events for the attendees and bridal parties, times, locations, parking, shuttles,t ours etc.

Cons

Honestly have seen the tools work in a variety of companies and have no scenario where it has not been a fit.
It was an app for a virtual eDiscovery conference I attended. I also used it for another virtual conference during COVID.
Pros
Easy to find information, good layout
Easy to login and navigate between areas
Great use of multimedia in event app
Cons
Downloading the materials, would be good to have the name of the materials attached when downloading it. Now it shows the name on the app, but when you download it, you get a 'nothing' type name and have to rename the file so you know what it is.
Make it possible to bulk download materials when you've fixed the naming issue.
When in the UofF conference, and if the broadcast is going on in the same room for different sessions, needs an auto kick out of the session to force you to click on the new session. So many people in the chat did not understand that they had to exit the session and go to the new session to see the polls and engage directly there. That was annoying (people annoying not the app).

It's a great multi-functional tool for virtual conferences. It appears to have multiple places to connect with sponsors, links to discussions, links to contests, links to find attendees and message them. If you are not proficient in putting the site together for your event, I can see how it could be less effective for the audience. But our event was very well organized and therefore was super easy to use. I would not want to use it for group discussions and breakouts like Zoom meetings - but it's not designed for that (which I like). Different tools for different types of uses.
