We use WebPT in a clinic setting and we love this program it is so user friendly and easy to navigate. However 1 thing I would like to change is being able to see the cancellation reason.

EDocs
Lost Patient Report
Discharge summary
Cons
cancellations
dragging appointments
changing cancelled appts

When i was uploading edocs, WebPT gave the plan of care alert so I knew that I had messed up somewhere and needed to fix it.
As a former patient representative in the physical therapy department, I enjoyed the ease of use when entering patients and creating patient encounters. Working with the therapists, I was able to navigate areas of the system that impacted the bottom line. I also liked the ability to fax from within the system itself.
Pros
place of service designation
keeps track of the encounter numbers
alerts us when the patients are approaching their cap
Cons
scheduler does not allow POS
report numbers are hard to understand without much direction
outcomes sometimes do not attach
Likelihood to Recommend
I liked how it was designed by a physical therapist. It's user friendly for the most part.
We use WebPT to generate home exercise programs for our patients. This solves the issue of patient compliance compared to verbalizing instructions or giving them a printout. WebPT allows us to send patients videos with written and verbal instructions to ensure proper performance of the exercises. WebPT also will enable us to adjust the programming with a few clicks easily.
Pros
Automatically creates patient profiles from our EMR system.
Allows quick and easy customization of home exercise programs.
Allows PT to check on patient compliance with HEP.
Cons
Needs more exercises in the database.
Exercises need better verbiage for searchability.
Lacks higher level exercises.
Some exercise videos are not performed 100% properly.
Likelihood to Recommend
I only use it as a HEP generator, but compared to other systems I have used, WebPT makes it easy to create programs (2 minutes on average) and adjust.
I am a physical therapist and have been using WebPT to document notes, schedule patients, and create Home Exercise Programs. We utilize the reminder portion to remind patients which has really been a game changer for patients showing up at the right time and on the right days.
Pros
Home Exercise Programs
Easy of daily notes
Knowing when a PN is needed
Cons
Transition with MIPS
More exercises for HEP
Duality in notes
Likelihood to Recommend
WebPT has made doing daily notes, progress notes, and evaluations a breeze. I am easily and quickly able to get a detailed note done in a matter of minutes. I do with there was a way to easily link up the Flowsheet to the HEP program so that an HEP can get quickly generated.
We use webPT for our electronic medical record and billing. I treat 8-13 patients daily and the majority of these patients come back for follow ups. The ability to review the record and progress the patients treatment is done every visit. Some things would be easier if the information continued to carry over. a. DOS and a box to document the weeks and days po every visit. b. a grid to document UE ROM from the elbow on down to fingers. Ability to select wether this is A or P motion. The measurements would need to be carried over for comparisons each visit. c. In the billing category to list the orthotics from largest joint to smallest and seperate the static from dynamic.
Pros
Like to see the note from the last visit
Time in and out recording
smart text available for the goals to select from.
Good at catching the timed mistakes with billing
Cons
Add box for weeks and days po after the DOS
Grid available for measuring the UE
Organize charges for orthotics from largest to smallest and separate dynamic from static
Likelihood to Recommend
Good overall eval. Would like to customize more for UE needs.

Our PT's use WebPT to streamline and make patient care not only easy and quick, but thorough and efficient. We have tried other EMRs and nothing beats WebPT in all categories. The billing portion as well makes claims and reporting to senior admins happy with our results. The fact that it is web based makes it easy to use anywhere you have an internet connection.
Pros
Connectivity
Simple to Use
User Interface
Cons
Could have more exercises
Needs mobile app
Likelihood to Recommend
WebPT is best suited in a clinic with at least 3 PT's and supplemental PTAs. WebPT allows the staff to multi task and provide care to many more patients without sacrificing patient care. The only time it wasn't the best was when our internet was down. As WebPT is a internet based solution, it kinda does require a persistent internet connection.

Would be nice to have it more integrated with our hospital's EMR as that is the system we bill and schedule out of, so a lot of duplicate work being done at registration, billing, and coding.
I have asked about sending the information from WebPT via Direct Secure Message, but not luck yet.
Pros
Nice Schedule, not sure if it can house multiple sites.
Our Therapy staff find it is easy to use as it includes supporting information for them such as on exercise options.
Up time seems to be pretty good and haven't had any issue with a breach since this is an online product with our PHI.
Cons
Integration of scheduling with our EMR
sending of orders and results via Direct Secure Message
it is a siloed program, so the monthly costs as it increases has us sometimes looking at utilizing our hospital's EMR as it doesn't require an additional cost.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is a good product if you are a stand alone therapy clinic that needs all the bells and whistles. In our hospital setting it requires extra staffing since it requires a lot of extra work getting information into our primary EHR. We have yet to trial it in a standalone capacity at this point, but that is because our staff do not do the billing with it.
I use WebPT for electronic medical record patient documentation and billing. I have used many other electronic medical records in the past and this has been by far the easiest, most intuitive, and least cumbersome of them all. It seems much more "designed especially for physical therapists" as compared to the others.
Pros
Bill is straight foreward
Templates / quick phrases are relatively easy to customize
Real-time, point of contact charting is smooth and easy to navigate / complete while with patient
Cons
Some customization such as vestibular tests/measures/ objective would be very helpful for me. I would like to be able to create my own test/measures names as well as drop down menus/choices
It would be nice to be able to carry-forward key objective measures from visit to visit
It would be nice to have a place in the note where HEP could be carried forward without relying on WebPT's HEP builder (I prefer MedBridge). Currently I carry it forward in the "precautions" section.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think it works very well during point of contact with the patient. It much easier to start and complete a note while the patient is with me due to ease of use. I would like customization of evaluation templates to be easier to create. I am an expert vestibular PT and I have to copy/paste from a Microsoft word document the subjective red flags and entire objective section in the "observation" section every evaluation.
We use WebPT as our EMR and our Billing System. I use the clerical portion as well as the billing portion of the system.
Pros
User-friendly environment
Scheduling
Demographics
Cons
Only option is for 2 insurances within WebPT, would like to be able to add a third
Would like to be able to set an End Date for insurance, to allow for a new insurance to be added to the same case
Would like to be able to view more detail in billing regarding payments, etc.
MIPS- has had issues since April and still not resolved
Would like to receive incoming faxes
Likelihood to Recommend
I believe WebPT is very user-friendly, there are many steps to take to accomplish what we need sometimes. For clerical and clinical, the system is user-friendly. When things go wrong, they are not user-friendly to correct. The correction, even if a system issue, falls on the user to correct. Regarding Billing, the work done is good as long as not too time consuming. If the follow-up is time consuming the tendency is to pass back to us to work. And the zero paid remits are not worked in a timely manner. There is room for improvement in this area.
