Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Webex Events (formerly Socio) has become the central platform for our employee engagements and large scale HR communication. We are sharing the license with the marketing team. Before adopting it, coordinating events across multiple branches was messy. We were relying on separate tools for webinars, signups and feedback which made it hard to manage consistent participation or measure the actual impact.
Pros
- The direct integration with our internal Webex suite means that I can pull contact lists from HRIS saving me hours of manual upload.
- Almost all our conferences proceed without much technical interruption
- The breakout rooms for hr roundtables and diversity discussions.
Cons
- We are quite restricted in custom branding when it comes to aligning events' portals with the company brand
Return on Investment
- It has chopped down our staff hours per major event on coordination, manual registration tracking and follow ups by half. That's because most of those processes are automated within Webex Events (formerly Socio).
- Online conferences save the company ton of money compared in-person ones
