Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Visual KPI was implemented at one area initially then expanded to the rest of the site. It has been used by mostly shift supervisors, area managers, and plant managers.
Used to monitor key business KPIs

Shift Supervisors: shift downtime, machine downtime, prolonged maintenance window, total production (planned vs. actual)
Area Supervisors: actual production vs. planned for a particular area, total downtime

Pros

User Adaptation: due to simple and easy to use interface
Data collected from various technological platforms & data flow is seamless- PLC/SCADA/LIMS
Quicker ROI : Due to quick deployment & minimum requirement for infrastructure
Geolocation & mapping features for the maintenance team to find the problem area at quicker time

Cons

Intelligent prediction & AI
Deep integration is limited to OSISoft's PI AF; bit time consuming for large integration for other historians > mapping hierarchy
Template to create Apps like OEE, Cycle time etc for rapid deployment

Likelihood to Recommend

[Visual KPI is well suited for:]
1. Maintenance or field worker in oil & gas/chemical/ process industry mostly; machines status on the map & functionality for tracing exact location of the machines.
2. Key personnel of the site is always in move within the site/plant; useful for monitoring key performance indicators of the plant
3. KPIs to be built based on multiple data sources as well as integration with ERP tool

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At our agency, we use Visual KPI across every department in the entire organization to monitor, visualize and analyze important data like task management, purchase orders, sales quotes, sales invoices, people utilization, client project coordination, timesheet approvals, organization charts, employee documents and more. Everyone can see the real-time data and manage their projects accordingly.

Pros

The latest user interface makes it easier to use.
The search function helps find projects quickly.
It covers a lot of areas of your business so there is intrinsic value to how robust it is.

Cons

There is a lot of clunky extras that get in the way of task and project management.
It could use a better approval process that alerts supervisors outside of email.
It would be great if you could create your own shortcuts so it focuses on what you use the most.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think for a robust, all-inclusive management system, it does a good job. However, by trying to be everything for everyone there is always issues with quality and the user experience. The recent changes have helped with a lot of these issues, but it is still very overwhelming to onboard new employees to the system.
