Great, easy to use product!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Prospecting, used for getting attention. Great way to break through the noise. Currently only being used by Sales for prospecting new surgeons or elaborating on quotes! The biggest problem it addresses is being able to create a pattern disruption when attempting to get the attention of someone who has never seen your product.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Gmail integration
  • Salesloft integration
  • Video tracking

Cons

  • Moving videos from one account to another is a pain.
  • Video storage could be more organized (Example, folders).

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for sales, as we have been using it to do the majority of our prospecting thru at least two different touchpoints. It is also used before a meeting takes place a few hours before to send reminders. We have also used it for recording training videos of content that is difficult to explain over email. I have not tried anything else.

Save time, Create Personal Connections

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Vidyard to increase click rates on prospecting emails. Surgeons & their gatekeepers get cold calls/cold emails but with Vidyard we are able to create a more personal touch and human interaction that is helping with click rates from both the end-user and the gatekeeper. We have also found the tool useful to quick document walkthroughs such as quotes. Once again, creating a human interaction with the supply chain/administrator who typically deals with reps through emails until late in the process.

Pros

  • Share large amounts of information in a short period of time.
  • It is fun.
  • Creates a personal touch.
  • Increases click rate.
  • Creates something to talk about.
  • Helps with getting humor across.

Cons

  • Extra steps to share in order to track "who" is clicking vs. that there is a click.
  • Screen recording shows open tabs, it would be nice to focus on a single page vs the whole desktop.
  • Mouse always showing vs hidden when still.

Likelihood to Recommend

I find Vidyard is well suited for outreach, document explanation, project management, and human interactions such as birthdays & work anniversaries. I would not use Vidyard as a replacement for general internal emailing or longer presentations. I also find it less appropriate to use with external customers where a relationship/human element is established (unless it is some personal touch like a birthday).

Vidyard improved sales and boosted our company's rep

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have our sales reps using Vidyard as a way to communicate with current and potential clients. It's a great way to build trust with a new customer because they can see the rep and feel more comfortable speaking with them on the phone. It's especially great because it helped us reduce the number of product samples we needed to send out. With a video, a rep can show customer's previous jobs that we've done or they can compare two products side-by-side. This has saved us not only money but a great deal of time and effort. And it's an immediate way for customers to see a product.

Pros

  • So easy to edit a video.
  • Helps us communicate with customers.
  • Very user-friendly.
  • Excellent customer support!
  • Helpful marketing emails and newsletters.

Cons

  • Libraries vs. channels was tough to navigate at first.
  • It would be cool to have even more video editing tools.

Likelihood to Recommend

Vidyard is ideal for communicating with customers. It's especially great when you have a potential customer and you want to boost the rapport you have with them. A video message makes the sales rep human (rather than just a voice on the phone), and therefore, more trustworthy. We have a rep who uses it to send a follow-up message after a good call with a potential customer. It helps him recap their conversation, shows his level of enthusiasm, and sets him apart from any other company they may have spoken with.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Vidyard is vital to our organization. We use it to host videos embedded on our website. We use it for embedding videos in email campaigns. We use the video hub on our website. I love the closed captioning that keeps us ADA compliant as well as giving us the translation options.

We are big fans of the event function and we get viewers completing the form at the end of the video and sending it in. Overall, Vidyard is high functional, high value for us.

Pros

  • Ease of use. You don't need training, you can log in and go to work
  • Organizing and curating your video assets is simple
  • Closed captioning is very easy and very good

Cons

  • I'd like to be able to see more players in the home page
  • I'd like to see the closed captioning be more automatic

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are using video in email marketing, this is a great tool. Vidyard makes it fast and easy. It works well with embedding videos on your website so you aren't sending people to YouTube. You don't want to work hard to get guests to your site only to send them to YouTube.

Vidyard Review for Enterprise

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Vidyard to host and distribute our videos on internal and external web properties and also sync to our Youtube playlist. We use the Vidyard "Hub" (landing page) feature, containing all our videos, as a marketing web destination. Using Vidyard simplifies the video distribution process and allows us to create unique calls to action for each video and track many important video analytics in our marketing automation tool via API. This allows us to set up automated emails and other actions to increase relevance and boost our marketing efforts. We also use the embed codes available in Vidyard to control video content that is distributed to our media partners, or external sites. This allow us to simply update the video chapters within a "player" and the video will instantly will be updated on our paid placements on third party websites. The ability to add language subtitles for our international customers is key.

Pros

  • The ability to have all of my video content hosted and distributed from a single location. Great video quality, custom calls to action and splashscreen A/B testing are among some of my favorite features.
  • The account setup allows me to control users across multiple divisions within our enterprise.
  • Play HD quality video on any hardware device and the ability to sync with our company's Youtube account with little effort.
  • Easy-to-use content management system. Controls for all aspects of the video and player are clear and easy to understand.
  • Customer service and support – great responsiveness from the Vidyard team. If there is any question to be answered, they are there for you. You will not be disappointed.

Cons

  • I would like to see a dashboard where I could view all of my videos that are currently using embed code (hosted) on third party websites. Sort of an overview of what videos I am running externally at any given point.
  • CMS feature to have the ability to select a set of videos and export all at once instead of one by one.

Likelihood to Recommend

Vidyard is well suited both for enterprise and medium-sized company applications. May be cost-prohibitive for smaller organizations (just guessing here). Great tool for any company, in my opinion.
