Vena is being a crucial tool while it helps in our financial planning and reporting processes. While coming from the spreadsheet based heavy work biggest benefit for me was to have that it blends well with the power of excel with the cloud based platform
Pros
It helps our finance team with building the customised workflows for budgeting and planning out for forecasting

While we have rolled out our Vena the first building of the model was quite a difficult for us and the configuration of the template was time consuming. It would be great if some tutorials and training’s with documentations to be provided in details

It’s helpful to us while distributing and creating structured excel templates which ties to the same model and to provide and create all customised view and model for our fincanical consolidations.

Vena does a great job managing our company workflow. It allows us to have a proper monthly flow. However, one downside is that I feel as if we are a unique use case for Vena since we only have project forecasting and not much else FP&A-related in Vena. It is definitely something we would like to work on eventually.

Vena is a basis for our finance and accounting departments as far as budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation are concerned. The platform is now central to our planning process taking financial planning away from manual spreadsheets to a more structured and collaborative environment.
Pros
Automation of Vena’s workflow has created a big difference in our efficiency in terms of time of dealing with repetitive tasks.
The audit trail feature of the platform guarantees transparency and accountability and therefore, necessary for compliance and internal analysis.
The audit trail feature could guarantee transparency when it comes to changes. Custom report templates take hours of repetitive work.
Cons
There is an outdated feel in some modules, the learning curve is steep to some and additional resources would go a long way to encourage user adoption of UI.
Exporting reports into any other format than Excel is clumsy. We’d also prefer more AI-driven predictive analytics.
Likelihood to Recommend
Vena is ideal for organizations with elaborate financial structures that need in- depth analysis and reporting. Nevertheless, the platform will be too deep for companies with more simplistic needs to the point of being overwhelming.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited:

Not as Fit: It may be too complicated for small businesses with limited financial data. Compared to basic spreadsheets, Quick Ad-Hoc Analysis is not the greatest option for short-term, one-time computations.
