Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SecureCRT helped us to access multiple networking sessions at the same time. The product is extremely helpful to network engineers without the need to remember the IP address of each and every device in the network. It allows us to transfer multiple commands to different sessions at the same time which makes our job much easier. In addition to that, it can assist with network automation and scripting as well.

  • While doing network configurations we are able to monitor and log the sessions.
  • Able to select/highlight multiple text files from the network configurations as we display the show version or show tech-support commands.

Cons

  • There are not many areas where they can improve already a great product.

Likelihood to Recommend

SecureCRT is well suited for any environment that has a back-end network configuration or in a system administration environment. The ability to configure devices via CLI is the best place where we can use SecureCRT. Configuring network changes and taking backup of network devices is a prime example of SecureCRT being used.
