The moment a deployment would need site-to-site connectivity or multiple access points, I turn to Ubiquiti. These scenarios are where I think Ubiquiti's main strengths, the ease of configuration and price to performance, shine. If long-term support is needed, I'll also trust Ubiquiti for that, since even their legacy APs dating back more than 5 years ago at the very least still adopt and work — something which I, unfortunately, see less of, even in B2B IT. For simpler deployments that can be covered by a single access point and/or an unmanaged switch, I don't think Ubiquiti's offerings shine as much compared to competitors.
We use these APs in some of our clients offices, they work great and super simple to configure. They do the job of extending the clients wifi coverage to all areas needed and the speeds are fantastic. They are also super reliable, with issues occurring somewhat rarely and usually aa restart to the ap resolves it.
Pros
Extends wifi coverage
Door access system
Camera system feature
Cons
Features only available to legacy option
Support could use some work
Stock has been hard to come by for some of their product lines
Likelihood to Recommend
It's well suited for extending the coverage of your wifi in those areas that need that extra bump. If you have use for the protect system that's a plus and it comes with the product already which is great.

For almost four years, our business has relied on Ubiquiti Wireless WAN. When it comes to wireless networks, we previously relied on unstable and difficult-to-manage technology. Through my exploration of the market, I came upon Ubiquiti's offering. As a whole, our company's wireless network is served by this solution, which allows us to keep the administrative building and the factory's internal wireless networks separate and secure while yet allowing for easy and convenient connectivity.
Pros
Synchronization with the closest Ubiquiti device happens automatically.
Easily monitor and control all of your linked devices individually.
Separate and secure SSIDs may be made using VLAN.
Cons
Better tracking of connected devices and their respective times and dates.
The newest unified controller versions have extended device compatibility.
Find a networked gadget by entering its MAC address.

Ubiquiti's wireless WAN solution is suitable for usage in businesses of all sizes. Smaller businesses may not profit as much from the integration of Wi-Fi devices due to the high expense of doing so, hence the cost-benefit analysis favors larger businesses. In big and medium-sized businesses, having access to such tools improves network security and administration by allowing for several, conceptually separate networks to be managed and made available from a single Wi-Fi access point.

I have many Clients using Ubiquiti Access points- One is a 65000 sq ft building that I used 10 Ubiquiti Networks
UniFi UAP-AC-HD to cover the entire building. Way Overkill Could have used 5 but it works great. Other clients have 1 or 2 setups and have great speed and Coverage
Pros
Great Coverage
Fast speed
Roaming connections
Cons
Reset from the poe adapter doesn't seem work for me.
Control panel can be confusing for novices.
Additional mounting options.

I have found these Ubiquiti devices far outperform other devices in the same price range and some even more expensive units. They cover all the areas I need and can be implemented in a very short amount of time and effort. A ceiling mount isn't always an option and I am not sure how mounting on a wall affects performance.
In our company, we have been using Ubiquiti Wireless WAN for over 4 years. In the past, we used equipment for wireless networks that did not have stability and was not easy to manage. After researching the market, I discovered Ubiquiti's solution. We use the solution in our company to serve the entire wireless network, whether in the administrative part, as in the industrial part with differentiated SSIDs and isolated from the main network, with this solution it was possible to be connected either in the administrative building or inside the factory in a simple and safe.
Pros
Creation of distinct and isolated SSID's by VLAN.
Automatic connection to the nearest Ubiquiti device.
Easy management of connected clients per device.
Cons
More detailed logs of devices, connection date and time.
Device support time in the latest unifi controller versions (increase).
Search for a connected device by your MAC.

The Ubiquiti Wireless WAN solution can be used in both small and large corporate environments. However, as it has a rather high cost, its cost-benefit is greater in medium and large corporations, as small corporations may not take advantage of as many resources as the integration between Wi-Fi devices. In medium and large corporations, resources like this represent a very great facility in network management and in the availability of the connection in a transparent way at different points of the company, together with the security of isolated networks logically being made available by the same Wi-Fi device.
Ubiquiti Unifi is used as primary WiFi at many of our sites. Unifi
is easy to implement, configure, update and use from a single [pane] of glass. We utilize them in both the office setting and the manufacturing setting with gives us reliable connectivity throughout both areas.
Pros
Easy configuration
Easy Management
Great coverage
Affordable pricing
Durable
Cons
Sometimes hard to keep up with all the new releases
Likelihood to Recommend
I have discovered that the wifi range is less than a few other vendors that I tested so we do need to have more devices for the coverage that we need but the price per device is much more affordable than some of the enterprise solutions.
I implemented Ubiquiti Wireless WAN on several of my clients on my own.Install this brand because in prices / quality it is the best there is, the administration and implementation are very easy. It has a system that can manage the platform from anywhere and that for clients is the best there is.
Pros
Easy installation
Very friendly web management
Cons
The connection to the equipment by console is not as easy as other equipment

Install many equipment of this platform in lower middle class hotels, the operation is very good for this type of situation, as I said before price / quality. Customers are very satisfied with the performance and over time they do not present failures. The unifi teams for this type of business are the best and the company always presents updates for their teams, they are very complete.
I've deployed Ubiquiti Wireless at several of my clients. The decision to go with Ubiquiti was based on ease of deployment and management. Physical installation and configuration is easy by todays standard. One thing to note: you can't log directly into a standalone AP. You must use their software to con
Pros
Mesh
Management
iOS app
Cons
Direct AP management for single AP installs

Well suited for large and small companies. Home use is not out of the question. This works well with companies who need a mesh network that works. One client install involved a building that was steal and concrete. Instead of running new network cabling we used existing cabling and converted the entire building to Ubiquiti Wireless WAN.
We currently have devices providing 4 links between schools. Two are using AF-24, one is using AF24-HD and one is using AF-5. One link using AF-24s is 1.5km (about a mile) and provides a solid link at 650-700Mbps through any weather. The AF-24HD is in a dual relay (4 devices) between schools in different towns. One link goes 8.5km (5.3miles) from a school to a water tower and the second goes 650m (about 2,000 feet) from the water tower to another school. This link has been solid at 700-750Mbps through any weather. The AF-5, which connects two schools 200m (650 feet) apart, has been having issues since it was installed. This link needs to be continually monitored and adjusted due to interference. The 5Ghz band is too crowded to be used in any area with close neighbors. Due to our wireless access points also using 5Ghz, as well as that of third-parties, almost all of the frequency is used. Moving our wireless access points off of a reserved range causes third-party wireless access points to prefer this reserved range. We are looking into replacing this with either a pair of AF-24 or AF-60 devices.
Pros
Solid, reliable connections on higher freqencies
Good view of current status of frequency congestion
Fairly easy installation and alignment
Cons
Congestion troubles on 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz
Auto channel switching would help with the lower frequencies
Likelihood to Recommend
Any distance with a clear view between would work for these devices. Choosing the right device for the link is critical. Lower frequencies can go farther distances but have the issue of interference and large fresnel zones. Some areas may need a taller tower to avoid the fresnel zone. Higher frequencies have smaller fresnel zones have less interference and can potentially offer more bandwidth, however, the higher the frequency, the less range it has.
With fifty locations and a variety of equipment in place we decided to standardize on a single platform for switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and security cameras. At our headquarters we have Cisco Meraki, however the annual cost of fifty sites was daunting. We looked at several other vendors, trialed many of them, and selected Ubiquiti as our final vendor - it offers all of the features needed (cloud management being first and foremost), many of the "plus" features we desired, the cost was lower than the competition in terms of actual upfront pricing, and there is no ongoing service / management fee. The cost difference was substantial enough that we are able to migrate five sites for the cost we had budgeted for three. At each site our users have been delighted.
Pros
Range of coverage - The devices have great range, exceeding other vendors we trialed.
Quality of product - The APs are solidly built, durable, reliable, and they also have aesthetic options ("skins", aka covers) that help us blend the APs into the sites and make them unobtrusive.
Extensive features - The devices have all of the features of Meraki APs, Aerohive APs, etc.
Deep manageability - Once connected to a cloudkey, these devices are easy to manage at all levels, across all locations. From hardware to software, we never need to go onsite to manage the devices.
Cons
Setup - These are fairly easy to set up alone, but integrating into an enterprise network takes effort and some IT saavy. It's not something I would trust to an end-user.

I find Ubiquiti well suited to every scenario in which a wireless solution is needed.
