Clearview InFocus is mainly used by our Finance team as the accounting system, and all employees across the whole organization use it to enter time sheets to track project related time. The system amalgamates accounts, employee information and project management information all together, and it links all relevant information and produces various reports for the management.

Functionality - compared to some other software, it's a breeze to make modifications in InFocus.
Integration - it's a pretty smooth implementation from our legacy system Deltek.
User friendly - it's cloud based, easy to access from anywhere, connection speed is fast.
Cons
The report module can include more canned reports.

Compared to other accounting software, I think InFocus offers more functionalities and it's very user friendly. It's a cloud based solution you can easily access remotely, and the connection speed is quite fast. It integrates project management data and financial data, which is important for an engineering company like us.

My organization uses Unanet mainly to manage timesheets, expense reports, billing, HR/staff reports, and PTO. Unanet addresses the issue of ensuring that our employees' hours and work are accurately tied to our clients for billing purposes. It has a wide scope and is used by all employees on a daily basis.

Unanet is very well suited for billing in the AEC industry as the project paths and codes make everything organized. The timesheets are mostly user-friendly and can be learned quickly. I do not think Unanet is appropriate for organizations that are not in the AEC industry and have fewer than 20 employees.
We use Unanet ERP for AE for all of our project management and financial/accounting needs. All our bookkeeping is done in Unanet ERP for AE. We use it to house project data for nearly 3,000 projects in a year. We also use it for budgeting purposes and all historical data and accounting needs.

Gives the ability to view financial data in a variety of formats and using different reports, from Balance Sheets and Income Statements to custom reports for each different team
Customizable dashboards to allow for all data to be housed in one central place
Allows integration of payroll reports and HR data to be tied in with employee profiles in one singular database
Cons
The user interface and the intuition of the platform could be improved. The system is only as good as what you put into it, but it would be nice if it took some of the thought out of processed for you.
Looks a bit outdated as far as colors/design

All of our accounting needs, from Accounts Receivable tools and Accounts Payable have been able to be met and exceeded by the automation tools that Unanet ERP for AE has implemented. Less appropriate is use for Business Development and marketing, of which we have an additional external system to use as a resource.
