Kronos Workforce Central is utilized by our entire company as our time card. We clock in and out online using this program. It's a great tool because it helps break down everything and it's easy to use and understand. It is also a great tool to keep track of your Paid Time Off.
Pros
Keeps track of PTO.
Easy to use.
Makes clocking in painless.
Cons
Sometimes it can take a little bit to register that you have clocked in or out.

Kronos Workforce Central is well suited for the organization of keeping time as well as letting you know how much PTO you have stored up and is available to use. This program would not be appropriate for very few companies. I highly recommend its use in every company.
We have been using Kronos WC since 2014 and recently upgraded to Kronos WC 8.0. We use it for Timekeeper, Human Resources and Payroll functions and process payroll in house. We implemented the Attendance Module after one year of using the system.
Pros
Tracking Punches
One data entry point for Timekeeper, HR & Payroll
Reporting in WC 8.0
Cons
Difficult to set-up: not a good canned system. Many hours of programming required for set-up
Not as integrated as led to believe: there are issues with integration of data at times
Difficult to set-up interfaces: the system is not friendly for interfaces

Kronos would be suited to a company that has an HRIS team. Difficult to maintain without HRIS expertise. In these cases, you will be relying on a consultant to do simple quarterly updates.
It is used by our whole organization to manage out time for employees. We track vacation, sick, holiday, etc. in this system, as well as all clock-in and out punches. We have always been very pleased with this system. We even have some custom processes that work quite well for us.
Pros
Tracking of punches
Tracking of accrued hours
With the help of Kronos we were able to create some custom processes that work very well for us.
Cons
In order to keep things separated for our individual work places for some reporting we had to create multiple versions of the same report with the different location parameters.
There are areas that we do not use that I think would be beneficial to our company.
While not the fault of Kronos, we do have interfaces both into and out of Kronos, and these do sometimes cause us problems.

We were able to create a custom process that will look at our different divisions and, depending on the division, modify the number of hours that something like holiday pay is granted for. We also pay based on a 13 week average to hourly paid employees, and we were able to create a custom process to build this procedure.
KRONOS Workforce Central is being used across the whole organization as its primary timekeeping tool. This tool helps address accurate time keeping of the workforce along with PTO management.
Pros
Timekeeping including clock punching, web punching, and cell app punching
PTO management -- submission, review, auto deduction
Pay rules - ability to designate rules based on groups, individuals, and more
Cons
As a web-based solution, Workforce Payroll requires internet connectivity for data access – offline capabilities are not available.
Being Microsoft-based, browser support is limited to Internet Explorer.
Kronos’ international presence will always be restricted as long as Workforce Payroll (and HR) is only available in the English language.

Expectations and requirements need set to make sure it is right or right sized for the company in question. The product can be overwhelming if you do not approach it properly
