So we basically use it for all the things, benefits, we use it for payroll, we use it for timekeeping. I think so that's all that we really use it for, but we would like to see if there's more of an easier way to just put everything together.

Pros

  • Well I would say recently the customer service has increased tremendously and I love that because when you put in a case and then you get the message maybe two to five minutes later and then someone's contacting you on the phone or an email. And I love that part because we are in customer service, so just be having that support is truly amazing.

Cons

  • Teachers that are hard functionality. Okay. I would say the most issues that we've had is the admins or the HR department losing their access and it throws us for a loop. It's like, what happened? What's going on? So that's the main thing. And then some of our employees struggle with the hourly employees try to struggle with timekeeping as in clocking in and clocking out. But we got that resolved. Thank you UKG Pro. And our employees are happy again. I would recommend UKG Pro.

Return on Investment

  • I would say the employee engagement has improved overall with UKG Pro. And I feel like over, since we've had it for about two, I think it's three years, we've officially had UKG Pro from where it started from beginning to now, it has very transformed through just the business objectives I guess you can say. And then employees at first hated it and then now it's like, okay, we like UKG Pro because they're problem solving. They're coming up, they're coming to be with us more, which is awesome.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use UKG Pro for everything from onboarding new hires to payroll, benefits admin and performance review. It really fixes the mess of having ten different tools doing one persons job ; It bring it all under one roof. Especially useful in compliance and track reporting. We are in IT so audit season is no joke.

Pros

  • Payroll is clean accurate and fast, No drama, no mystery deduction, just smooth and direct deposits every time.
  • On Boarding is amazing; new hires can get their docs, e-sign and are in the system before you can say compliance audit.

Cons

  • Some parts still give spreadsheet-era vibes. The UI can be clunky; like why does it take five clicks to run a basic report.

Return on Investment

  • We have shaved at least 20% off admin hours across HR and payroll real time back in our week, not just fluff
  • Our engagement scores have jumped after we started using their feedback and talent modules more strategically.

We use UKG for everything from onboarding to termination including payroll, benefits coordination (with Navigator), LMS, Document Manager and more. We JUST finished our implementation and so I can't give a likelihood of 10 rating because I haven't really used the system long enough to know it well yet. We were unhappy with our previous payroll provider AND looking for solution that would also integrate more of an HRIS functionality and UKG Pro offered just about everything we were looking for.

Pros

Cons

  • The system crashes more often than we expected
  • It's not always intuitive on the Administrator side
  • We'd love to have a dedicated rep that is more available to solve problems without creating a case

We had multiple systems and UKG Pro has allowed us to consolidate many of them into one. We are able to use it for talent management, annual review (and quarterly check ins), and we migrated from Cornerstone into the UKG LMS. The only parts we are not yet able to use UKG for is with Compensation Planning and our ATS.

Pros

  • All parts of UKG that we use integrate seamlessly
  • UKG integrates with Nectar, our recognition platform
  • Use of quarterly check in’s and annual reviews. We’ve been able to
  • simplify since we’ve migrated to UKG.

Cons

  • Our external ATS is much more rebut so we have not migrated to UKG for that yet.
  • Compensation Planning. We have multiple types of compensation and UKG does not support what we need, so we had to purchase a separate compensation software.

Return on Investment

  • Consolidated most of our people systems and allowed for less administration
  • Payroll is easy to use, which reduces time to process
