UKG Pro is used for all our HR, payroll, training, and workforce management solutions. This replaced three legacy systems and combined them into one. I use this for viewing my pay, selecting my benfits, submitting my yearly reviews and taking HR training courses. Overall this software provides quite a bit of information all in one place.
Pros
viewing payroll
seeing selected benefits
tracking career development
Cons
personal deveopment is hard to configure and view
some viewing windows are not intuitive to navigate
provide better options for exporting reports and data

This is pretty good software for one fits all solution for companies large and small. It provides information that used to be seperated in several different software solutions previously. As a full HR management solution some of the options are somewhat generic and lack depth, and some are not utilized by our HR department at all.
We use UKG Pro for payroll and quarterly goal setting and bi-annual performance reviews across the whole organization and individual branches. My branch has over 100 employees and all departments use UKG Pro for payroll. On UKG, employees can view information about their role, pay rate, pay structure, pay history, pay stubs, benefits, timekeeping, PTO requests, and more. I'd say each employee uses UKG Pro at least weekly if not daily to at least clock in and out of their shifts and track their pay.
Pros
Timekeeping is straight-forward and allows you to add notes which is helpful
Viewing pay history is intuitive and allows you to know exactly when your next paycheck is coming
I like that you can see your pay rate history and it automatically calculates the percentage increase from raise to raise
Cons
Goal setting is always very confusing on UKG Pro, that tool could be much more intuitive and motivating to use.
An aesthetic, easy to use and look at dashboard would be great. This could include information on what pay period you're in currently, how many hours you've logged, when your next pay day is, your goals, and your amount of PTO, etc.
The mail function could be improved. It's difficult to filter and see all of your messages, and difficult to take action on them. You often have to take very specific routes in order to open/take the action you need on them.
Likelihood to Recommend
Overall, UKG Pro is okay. It's fine for timekeeping and requesting PTO, but has many other functions that are not well utilized because those functions are not as intuitive. I think there is a lot of potential for greater capability and the overall interface could be more aesthetic and user friendly. A good dashboard could be great, although I like that you can favorite your go-to functions. I think the timesheet should also clarify what pay period you're currently in and highlight when hours must be submitted and when your current period will be paid out. This could be more explicit.
we use UKG Pro to process payroll across different companies, dealing with different states and jurisdiction. The issue with UKG Pro is it's not user friendly, the lack of customer support, and overall platform is not good. While there might be other modules to add or enhance the features. It doesn't appear worth adding modules when the basic ones do not work for us. In my experience, the customer support is near zero with being directed to a community support page to look up how other people answered the question, search and find the solution self, with help tickets being closed autoamtically with out resolution
Pros
journal entires
sales
upselling
Cons
customer support- not closing tickets when no resolution has been made
running reports
uploading GL maping
Likelihood to Recommend
good for running payroll liabiliy reports, processing payroll and cutting payroll checks. However if there's an issue or new training, in my opinion, good luck getting support. They direct you to a community learning center where others provide their solutions. In our experience, it's a searching game looking for the answer you need versus calling support and getting the answer directly. They also, in our experience, close help tickets without addressing them. This happened multiple times to us.

I have used UKG Pro as out HRIS to manage HR, payroll, and talent management, among other functions. We use this system company-side for employee access to pay stubs, time off requests, performance reviews, and reporting. We of course use it for payroll, benefits reporting, and other analytics. Overall we use this for all employees from onboarding to offboarding.
Pros
Payroll management
Reporting
Cons
The reporting UI is not the most intuitive and takes some time to get used to.
The mobile app could use more functionality
Likelihood to Recommend
UKG Pro works well when HR systems are consolidated. During a merger it was difficult to bring all the customized systems together into a single system, but the customization is also a benefit. It can just be difficult to unwind things in the event that changes are needed.

Love It! I have been using UKG Pro for well over 10 years now and I think that it has really grown over time. I have seen the new improved features and system upgrades over the years. It has been a journey implementing the new Dimensions System for our company. We have been a part of some very challenging obstacles, but still the consultants have been able to assist us in overcoming them. I would recommend that you give them a try!
Pros
Assist in Payroll processing
provide exceptional customer service to customers
ensure that needs are being met
Cons
Recruiting module should be upgraded to allow custom enhancements.
Onboarding module should be upgraded to allow custom enhancements.

1) We have been able to provide leadership with a good view of headcount and turn over. This could be improved in the functionality of history reporting around allocation. It is hard to report on allocation history.
2) We have been able to customize our system with platform functionality to improve our leave of absence process.
Used for time and attendance, as well as scheduling and general workforce management. The biggest problem it addresses is getting the right people scheduled accurately in the right place at the right time with little difficulty from our users.
Pros
Intuitive for end users
Continually evolving
Supportive to our admins
Cons
Scalability can be difficult for large-scale enterprises
Can sometimes be difficult implementing company-specific policies and configurations if they are very unique to your company and not others.

Well suited for almost any business. There can be difficulty implementing custom scenarios for larger businesses, but there's always a creative solution to make it work. You sometimes just need to think out of the box to pull it off, but it can always be accomplished.
We use UKG Pro as our source of truth for all employee and resource data, processing U.S. and Canada payroll, Performance Management, Onboarding, UTM, and U.S. Benefit enrollment. One major business problem for us is integrating our Non-north American countries like the UK and India into the system. Multiple modules, including Onboarding, Core, and Compensation, are not set up to handle this, so we have many manual processes in place. The 2nd one is related, which is using the compensation module (which we no longer have in our contract) because it also cannot handle multi-currency in the same budget templates. We have had to handle this manually as well outside of the system and have looked at external comp. Tools. The 3rd issue is the tracking of Contractor data. Again, Core is not set up to handle this, and after working with UKG consultants, we had to shoehorn the data into our UK component company, which is messy.
Pros
Allows us to create BI reports and then schedule them to be released to identified individuals.
Integrates with other HR systems (although getting through that process is extremely painful).
UKG Community resources and connections.
Cons
Ability to capture global employee data as required without creating platform-configured fields or manually entering data. We just implemented India, and we cannot edit Onboarding to capture necessary data, so we had to create a workaround for employees to go through Onboarding and then go back into Core and enter the rest of the data. We also had to develop new PF fields on the "other country info" page. The employees cannot edit this page, nor can we, as administrators, import data into it. Therefore, we had to enter the data for 70 employees manually and will have to do it again for two more groups of 65-70 employees.
The compensation module cannot handle multi-currency or salaried and hourly employees on the same worksheet. It also can't handle a somewhat complex incentive matrix.
Need for termination wizard and automated process - Employees need to access their data upon termination. Still, we have to manually go in and give them direct login access after they terminate. There should be an automated process behind the scenes that does this automatically. The wizard should confirm that they have submitted a personal email address.
Please train your customer response employees better. While management seems to have a great handle on tools, the people we work with are very unskilled, and we often go in circles.
There needs to be a course or something that is "technical speak for the non-technical person". Not all of us have a system administrator and often are completely overwhelmed by the tech speak when it comes to integrations and reporting etc.
Likelihood to Recommend
I'm not sure it is as ready for global companies as UKG says they are. When you get into the weeds, there are a lot of gaps. It was a good fit for us for U.S. and Canada but we are struggling more as we grow.
