Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a nonprofit, we use multiple systems that do not speak to each other, which creates redundancies in our processes. This also creates concerns regarding data integrity, as the risk of human error transferring from one system to another is high. With UKG we have all of our processes within one system, creating a synergistic experience, less duplication of efforts, and a user friendly experience on the front end and back.

Cons

Implementation was choppy and module leaders did not speak to each other on project timelines or progress. Felt rushed.
BI function can be complicated to navigate. Not much training provided.
Lack of support regarding rollouts (toolkits)

It is not counter intuitive. It is challenging to request leave and not be able to select all dates at once. Instead, one has to make several request for consecutive dates.

Improve the ability to choose two consecutive weeks of leave.

Used for HRIS, ATS, onboarding and open enrollment. Used for a national company with about 2000 employees. Employees also used the app to deal with transactions and we used the kiosk function for some (not all) hourly. locations. Because it was a national brand, we had several tiers of access. Partnered with ADP for payroll.

Great at keeping all the historical data.

We were heavily audited and this greatly helped thing.

Didn’t love how hard it was to get a custom report made.

ATS had the potential to be great but there is a lot of work that has to be put in by you to make that happen. Which there was a preview/sandbox version before you posted something.

The handover from ATS to onboarding was a little clunky and made it hard to delete profiles without also deleting all the data.

Wish that job posting in the drafts section could be deleted or at least archived. Once you start one, it’s in purgatory as soon as you enter a job code.

UKG is great but needs mending of Union Environments

Previously we used Ascentis and ADP. The goal with the UKG Pro system was to tie both of em together in one system.

We also added on a few packages that we use such as recruiting and On-boarding, compensation, and benefits.

Pros

Provides easy access for employee data with quickviews
Extremely flexible with how employee timecards can be set up to adjust for various variable such as contract changes for Union employees.
Setting up profiles for different users.

Cons

LM-2 Reporting for Unions. Particularly, this system had to be adjusted to operate in the way that our union requires but when it comes to getting reports, that are net set in Dataviews are not the best.
BI Reporting could be easier to use but overall its manageable.
As an International Union, I would like to see that you offer more Union friendly options such as when it comes to LM-2 reporting. When it comes to compensation as a union it is difficult to fit this system with how we deal with compensation and salary planning.

I believe that this system is great for an organization that is not Union based. It provides the best information at a glance and allows for a lot of other data that was not previously available to us.

I use UKG Pro to pull BI reports and utilize Employee Voice for onboarding and exit surveys

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Utilize for paycheck information, education cerification, powerbi reports. Employees enjoining the systems but we do have problems contacting the rep to get additional help and build out reports. Since layoffs took place last year it has been hard having good customer service, but the product is good. It is user friendly.
