PeopleDoc / UKG HR Service Delivery (discontinued)

Prior to the merger with Kronos, UltiPro (now UKG) delivered unrivaled service and superior products but I have noticed now the products are less intuitive and the service is average, at best and what was once a differentiator is now putting them on par with their competitors. We struggled with HR Service Delivery and implementing it to add value to our population, to the point we put it all on hold for over a year. We began resuming the creation of processes using this service more recently but despite having an in-house HCMS manager, the product is more cumbersome than it should be and we required significant assistance from UKG.

I am no longer a "raving fan" of UltiPro/UKG products and when put in a position to select an HR SaaS, I am doubtful UKG will be in the running. If you are a larger employer with resources to use and implement this tool you will probably find a tremendous amount of success but for small- to mid-sized employers who rely more heavily on partners like their SaaS provider, this probably is not the right product for you.

UKG HR Service Delivery (formerly UltiPro, now merged with Kronos) is our company's HR software. It is used by the whole company for all HR needs, from recruiting talent, to goal setting, to employee performance evaluation, to org chart, to benefits administration. It is a truly comprehensive HR tool that meets the needs of the company.

A comprehensive HR system like UKG HR Service Delivery has value in unifying the functionality that, for many companies like ours, used to be distributed across multiple point solutions. However, the user experience of most areas of functionality is inferior to most of the best-of-breed point solutions on the market, a trade-off I wish we didn't have to make to have a truly connected system.

UKG HR Service Delivery is our Self-Service Employee portal that is used across the entire organization. It is essentially our one-stop shop for HR to manage employee data and for teammates to receive important information regarding their employment. It is great to have everything in one place to direct teammates whether it is about payroll, benefits, compensation, employee relations. It allows all of our local HRs to share information across the organization so that if someone moves within the company, all of their data goes with them. There are many helpful functions as well including BI reporting for data found in the system that allows us to manage items like referral bonuses in a more automatic, efficient way. The fact that it is now tied to Kronos makes it even more of a helpful tool since Kronos is our time management system.

Very well suited for very large organizations. (Mine has close to 20,000 employees) but many of the functions would not be as necessary for smaller organizations with smaller budgets and far fewer employees to manage.

We currently use Core, Payroll, Time Management Solutions, Business Intelligence, Recruiting Gateway, EFM, and ECM. It addresses having all HRIS housed in one area (Filing; Document Automation, Vaccine Management, Payroll, Recruiting, License tracking, EEO, 1099, e2, etc.

UKG is well suited for any organization, but more specifically larger organizations with complex compliance tracking or unions because of the many functionalities it can offer to automate processes.
