An overview of our experience with Turing.com

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We collaborated with them for acquiring mobile developers for feature upgrades in our app. The entire process was seamless because we were able to on-board the developers within 3 weeks. Moreover, Turing.com has variety of developers across tech stacks and they were able to meet our requirements.

Pros

  • Their Dev Success and customer success teams were in touch with us throughout the engagement and were super proactive.
  • Quick TAT in any concerns
  • Developers are highly skilled

Cons

  • Developers are based globally, time-zone conflicts may occur

Likelihood to Recommend

Scenarios where I found them appropriate:

1. Short turnaround time for hiring in the engineering team, to free up their bandwidth for more critical tasks
2. Having a diverse set of developers onboard (higher variety of tech stacks)
3. Experienced developers skilled in their tech stacks
4. Flexibility of hiring developers for project based engagements

Scenarios where they are not well suited:
1. Unfavorable for addressing issues in person, since collaborations happen virtually only

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I tried to hire software developers, programmers, etc. through Turing.com, and it is not for us. They did not present us with any candidates that were in the US.

Pros

  • They are very transparent.
  • They were very informative with their vetting process.
  • They have very qualified candidates, but not in the United States.

Cons

  • Turing needs to provide US candidates.
  • They need to be more transparent in their advertising.
  • They need to provide more viable options.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would rate Turing much higher if they had viable candidates that were US residents. Their candidates are qualified, but unusable in most companies.
