HR and Payroll. Being able to use Trinet allows us to offer more to our employees of our small company through the benefits package. It also makes it easier to keep up with all of the HR laws in our state that we would otherwise not be able to do.
Pros
Benefits
Onboarding
Cons
I don't feel its always easy to find information I need.
Reports are sometimes called names other than what I call them and are hard to find.
Isn't always user friendly. I usually end up using chat for help
Likelihood to Recommend
As said previously, the benefits are very good and it's great for keeping up with the current state laws.
Not user friendly. It seems like a lot of things to help but really hard to find stuff. I have spent way too much time looking for certain reports and other things and usually wind up asking chat.

We use TriNet for our Payroll, HR and Benefits. We are a smaller company, so being able to use TriNet's benefits selection makes it affordable and work for all the employees. TriNet makes the payroll process seamless!! I had an employee tell me the other day "switching to TriNet was the best thing we could have done". So not only do the managers appreciate TriNet and the solutions they offer, but so do the employees.
Pros
Payroll - Seamless
PTO Tracking - Accurate
Benefits - Large Selection
Cons
None at this time
Likelihood to Recommend
We had an employee that was having a baby, TriNet walked me though the steps needed for Him to take Leave.

TriNet platform is used almost on an everyday basis by our company to submit PTO requests, expenses submission, track PTO balances, submit payroll and extract reports. The portal is very user-friendly.
Pros
Payroll Submission
Submit expenses for reimbursement
PTO Requests via the portal
Cons
Expense Tool can be a little bit more user-friendly with navigation made easier
TriNet App can be simplified for everyone to be able to access on their phones
Likelihood to Recommend
The staff at TriNet are super friendly and helpful. They help us with resolving any issues or concerns immediately. I have never had such fabulous experience with any other PEO providers I have worked with before. I highly recommend TriNet to everyone that is looking to switch their PEO provider.

Weekly payroll for several states. TriNet files all state returns. Benefits are handled with minimal time and attention from our company. Employees work directly with TriNet. HR assistance is very timely and valuable. Access to Fisher Phillips has assisted the company on a couple of occasions.
Pros
Benefits.
HR assistance.
Multi-State payroll tax returns.
Cons
Asking for personal information when calling on behalf of the company.
TriNet is our company partner for all HR outsourced services of payroll, benefits, time and attendance, and applicant tracking.
Pros
TriNet benefit offerings are very good. The team assigned to help with everything from plan design and cost through employee Open Enrollment is strong.
TriNet's platform is acceptable in today's market - there are areas in which integration could be stronger, but they are on the plus side of what we need and open to feedback and enhancements.
TriNet was and continues to be cost-effective. They have a straightforward, transparent method of charging for services.
Cons
We found their Performance Module un-customizable for our needs. We do not use it and do not foresee ever being able to use it successfully.
We find the lack of ability to upload / attach documents to employee files frustrating.
We find the inability to view an employee's full work week extremely dysfunctional. The Time Off platform and Time and Labor do not mesh. except in the final stages of payroll. An employee cannot see the time worked and time requested from PTO in one place.
TriNet Connect360 has its benefits, (access to more specifically trained workers), but still needs to follow up from our Account Executive for sensitive operations as the general mailbox does not know or seemingly cares to know the background. Many assumptions are made of what is needed that cause larger issues.
Turnover of HR Business Partners. We have had four assigned representatives in a little more than a year. This results in far too much time being spent explaining prior situations (as nothing can be uploaded).
The training module, while robust does not allow for a "master user" who can assign and monitor training. There is also no way to automate training certificates once completed to go to an individual.
Likelihood to Recommend
TriNet would be a fantastic partner for a small firm unable to find a trained HR partner who wants to resources and benefits of a larger company.
However, for a larger company [that] has trained personnel internally and who may have the resources to broker similar benefits or who is willing to make some adjustments to their package, TriNet is an intermediary that offers less value.
Our organization uses TriNet to administer our employee benefits - including health insurance, dental, vision, life, STD, LTD. We also utilize TriNet for HR administration (including recruiting and hiring) and Payroll administration. TriNet sources our worker's compensation insurance. We initially went to TriNet because we felt they had access to better, more affordable healthcare. We were also looking for one tool to handle everything. Their tool also handles expense reports/reimbursements.
Pros
Robust, user-friendly tool
Cons
Hidden Fees - Not Transparent (Fees in Unemployment Insurance, Worker's Comp, Medical Ins. The ADMIN Fee is not their only source of fees.
Halted the dedicated account manager; now ALL issues are directed to a Group email called Connect 360 with no SLA for turnaround time. Customer service does not exist.
Initial savings in Health Care costs were erased in years 2 and 3 by enormous increases that were not supposed to happen. Although not "promised", they said it never happens, yet we had double digit increases each year. Once you're part to TriNet, you're still treated as an individual company, not as "TriNet" except for things like unemployment. We had 0 Unemployment claims; yet we had to pay the significant Unemployment Insurance rates of TriNet because other entities lost employees due. So, we didn't get the benefits of lowering our health insurance (possibly) due to all the other companies, but we got the downside of their employment losses. Seems unreasonable.
Likelihood to Recommend
I feel their business practices are not forthright. They are not transparent in pricing and have "hidden" fees. I also have voiced my concerns over no longer having dedicated account managers, but TriNet does not value it's customers' opinions.

We use TriNet for payroll, benefits, and items related. It is being used for Human Resources purposes. When it comes to generating reports, it is very confusing, they offer filters but it is worse to navigate through them too. They have also started charging for certain reports. I have not used that portion but I don't think they should be charging being that it should be part of this same service and it was at one point. I also don't like the fact that when it comes to helping an employee solve an issue or get info, it is difficult to obtain even being the manager of the account.
Pros
HR rep that is the same for assistance
Employee portals
Options to employees for payment types
payroll
Cons
Generating reports portal
Assistance for employees
Ease of navigating portal
Ease of making changes
timeframe of obtaining insurance certificates
Likelihood to Recommend
I believe that TriNet is well suited for a company that has more than 25 employees or multiple locations. Small businesses benefit from the ease of payroll and benefits entry and selections, but when it comes to communication as an admin it becomes difficult to help staff and clear up questions. The payroll portal is great to use.

It is our payroll processing company as well as our HR advisors and health care group insurance provider.
Pros
Mostly very responsive to questions
Knowledgeable about HR Issues
Cons
Promptness of working on terminations
Providing the right number of posters
Likelihood to Recommend
Overall efficiency of processing payroll and reporting. As stated, the termination process is too long. The time to be able to terminate an employee is way too long and the system to do it is not very clear.
We use TriNet as our provider for HR, benefits, 401K and payroll.
Pros
Payroll service through TriNet are a breeze.
Our HR consultant Nancy Sindi is a great supporter and trusted adviser.
The platform for employees signing up for benefits is trouble free for us as a company.
Cons
I enjoy phone conversations working through questions and issues, there are times we have been referred to the online system to root out solutions on our own. As a service company we understand personal contact and never direct our customers to figure something out on their own.
Likelihood to Recommend
Start ups looking for a competitive compensation package should look to TriNet.
They are the company who is our workers comp carrier so they are our payroll company and handle all our payroll and employee information.
Pros
We do not have to do workers comp audits
They pay the payroll taxes
Cons
Letting us get the w2 at the end of the year so we can give them to the employees instead of waiting until January 31 to put them in the mail our employees do not like to wait that long. It is a stupid issue with this company
Like today I could not sign on something is wrong and i need to access the site and i can not and there is no one there to help this sucks I have to wait for some to come in at 9:00 am to help me. Just wrong
quit with the diversity bull shit
i have an awful time entering a new employee into the system sometimes it takes weeks
the connect360 is worthless we should have 1 person who knows about trient and us not 50 million people who know nothing
Likelihood to Recommend
They do my new employee input only it takes at least 5 days before the new employee is entered into the system but lately it was 2 days which is still too long. Our employees do not want others to know the information and wishes i could do the whole employee thing without going through this people.
