TriNet allows us to have a lean HR operations team and serve other business functions while remaining HR compliant and providing offerings similar in cost and value to a much larger organization.
Pros
Layers of access while providing security around sensitive data
Dedicated account team members to help
Intuitive and easy to use platform for leaders and end users
Cons
Cloud products such as TriNet Hire connect to a wider array of recruitment platforms
Platform Training resources for all levels of users, in all categories
Access to speak to someone in groups like LOA, Immigration, Taxes/Proxy's vs waiting for a response to a case
Likelihood to Recommend
Organizations that are small and don't have an existing HR team make TriNet a perfect fit. Employees can speak/chat/email TriNet for direct support. HR leaders with limited resources can be assured all of the corporation's needs around tax withholdings, work comp, wage garnishments and immigration assistance are met and in place reducing company overhead for specialty areas. Having a flat rate associated to cover costs simplifies the accounting process.

We use TriNet as our PEO. As an employer across multiple states, we really needed to find a solution that works across the entire United States. We tried managing this ourselves initially but spent more time tracking down filings for all of the states we were in than actually doing work. We knew we needed to find a solution. We tried a few others but TriNet really met all of our needs.
Pros
Payroll
Benefit Management
Tax Filing
Cons
Customer service
Fees
Answering questions

When you get to work with a specific rep at Trinet, things run a lot smoother. They moved to a bucket group where your query goes into a pool and then a general rep eventually follows up with you - however, I asked to move back to a specific rep so that our queries are answered in a timely manner.
We use TriNet company-wide for payroll, time-keeping, benefits, 401k, learning (sexual harassment), and applicant tracking. Having an integrated system is important to us. We were looking for a "one-stop shop."
Pros
Ensuring compliance in multiple states.
Benefit offerings are extensive.
Seamless integration with 401k plan.
Cons
Auto feed from TriNet time to payroll grid (no download/upload).
When new hires miss the current pay period (i.e. they start just before the pay date), the stub period (days not paid on previous payroll due to start date) is not consistently added to the next payroll.
Unlimited PTO is tracked going "negative" since there is no accrual. Although we offer unlimited, we still want to track use.

TriNet is great for handling multiple states with an integrated platform. It is an all-in-one solution for payroll, time-keeping, benefits, 401k, applicant tracking and some training. Smaller businesses can be complex when it comes to HR/payroll and TriNet has great capabilities and resources to assist in most areas. The benefits savings on being part of a large company (co-employer) versus being on a small employer plan are significant. The fees are probably not justified for a smaller employer in one state.

We used TriNet to manage our payroll & benefits for the entire company. It provides support for a small company like us to easily manage payroll and distribute benefits, as well as assist in any HR problems/questions that may arise.
Pros
Payroll.
Compliance.
Benefits.
Cons
We used to be provided a dedicated account manager who always responded in a timely manner. Now you go through a general support line, sometimes responses can be a little slow.

TriNet is all encompassing. It manages everything for you so you don't have to worry. TriNet is well suited in payroll services, benefit administration, and HR compliance.

We use TriNet for payroll, expense reimbursements, and human resources. The accounting department in my office handles it while the employees all have their own logins and can access their paystubs, the marketplace and contact TriNet for anything thy need. TriNet is a one-stop-shop every office needs to have. They make everything easy for our company.
Pros
Payroll - make a mistake? They can fix it.
Human resources - not sure what to do? TriNet has all the answers.
Customer service - need help? Your TriNet rep is ALWAYS available.
Cons
The TriNet Expense app could be more user friendly.

I have never had an issue with TriNet. Everyone from that company is really helpful and knowledgeable. My team specifically is amazing. Let TriNet handle human resources and payroll for you, you will not regret it.
TriNet is used by our Finance/HR department. It addresses our payroll, benefits management, and HR employer partner needs.
Pros
The payroll submission process is user-friendly.
PTO accrual and usage is handled well and removes the need for manual tracking on my end.
When I have special HR requests, I typically get quick and detailed responses and support.
Cons
When I request information from my rep, there are time when they place the burden of research back on me instead of doing the leg work themselves.
I would like to see better response times when I have questions.

TriNet is a big help to us when it comes to payroll, PTO tracking, and HR support. TriNet could definitely improve when it comes to benefits management. The site for choosing your plan options if you have an eligible life status change is not easy to use and I cannot confidently select the best benefits options with the lack of functionality and information provided on the benefits site.

We use TriNet to handle all of the HR needs companywide. It allows us to offer top-notch benefits that we otherwise may not be able to and allows us to easily process our payroll.
Pros
Strong support: Our HR representative at TriNet is available and helpful when we have sticky HR situations to deal with.
Online portal: Employees have a professional-looking portal to log into and view their benefits, paychecks, etc.
Cons
The vacation tracking portal can be a little confusing, in terms of showing exactly how much vacation time is remaining.
The 401(k) solution doesn't allow us to add additional funds that we want to offer to our employees.
The TriNet Expense add on is nice, but the interface could be improved.
Likelihood to Recommend
For any small to medium-sized company that wants to offer top-notch benefits and/or wants to get by without their own HR division, TriNet offers a great solution.

It is a great tool to manage employee timesheets, payroll processing and job functions. We mainly use it as a payroll processing partner. Their site is user-friendly and easy to use, the back office support is great and they are always there to help you resolve the queries. It allows you to have all your benefits and payroll in one place.
Pros
Benefits and payroll can be managed easily
Back office/customer support team is great and responsive
Easy to use
Cons
The software needs to be upgraded with few more functions
The insurance portion needs a better navigation
Likelihood to Recommend
If you are a start-up and want a solution to manage your payroll and benefits, this will be a great tool to opt for.
It has all the functions that a company would need to manage the payroll. The customer support team is great and will be there to help you as and when required.

TriNet is our HR department. We use them for payroll, benefits and all related HR needs.

Accurate and on time payroll
Great range of benefit offerings
Responsiveness to questions or issues
Cons
Better push information about benefits
Maintain competitive pricing

TriNet has met all my needs as it relates to HR. They are responsive to any questions that I or my team have and they allow me to concentrate on my business rather than regular HR activities.
We use Trinet across our organization because we do not have an in-house HR department.
Pros
TriNet does a good job of communicating local employment law and policy changes.
TriNet offers HR-related webinars that are relevant and full of good, useful content.
TriNet is responsive to feedback from its clients. We appreciate the attention that has been given and the efforts to resolve any issues our company has experienced. We have found Trinet to be very committed to client satisfaction.
TriNet's employee website has evolved into a useful tool for finding HR and payroll-related information.
I appreciate the availability of the in-house counsel to provide general feedback on legal questions. It doesn't replace our own lawyer but it is a great starting point to have.
TriNet's benefits tool has improved recently and lays out the financial implications of company options during open enrollment in a way that facilitates management's decisions.
Cons
I would like to see better formatted accounting reports for the monthly payroll.
One-on-one website training would be helpful. Once I find areas of the website they tend to be useful, but that doesn't help until I know they are there.
We have experienced some back-end issues. Some have been resolved quickly, but others seem to take longer than necessary to resolve. For example, one issue took 10 months to resolve and there wasn't proactive communication about the status over that period.
Likelihood to Recommend
I wholeheartedly recommend TriNet if someone is looking for a full-service solution. For anyone looking for less than this, I feel the price could be an issue. And from first-hand experience, I know a client's satisfaction is going to vary a lot depending on their account associate. We are lucky to have a fantastic one at the moment who I would recommend without hesitation.
