Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Mobile Security was used in the defence of the mobile endpoint across the company. The core features like traditional MDM is a must have today. Trend add to this Application Reputation services and app management. These components are essential in securing the end point and further enabling the concept of "Zero Trust" networks. Given today's remote workforce the emphasis on having this level of control over the mobile endpoint cannot be downplayed. The only issue, or rather complexity, is setting up the IOS interfaces, and this complexity is largely due to the way in which Apple has structured its API's

Mobile Security can be applied to any business and is relevant to all business today. The importance of controlling the endpoint cannot be emphasised enough especially with the rapid growth of PII laws across the globe. Looking at the applications, Mobile Security not the only reason for the rating but rather the total ecosystem you get with Trend. It must be noted that I was a fiercely opposed to Trend but once I seen this Ecosystem in place and working, with the people backing it, I am happy to say that I was wrong. Buzzwords / bragging rights aside I would rather have Trend defending my infrastructure than any other brand.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

This tool is good enough for securing our phones. As we all know in this fast-paced world we need to work on maximum hours and sometimes we use mobile phones to perform our work so this tool was one of our basic necessities in order to reduce the risk of data loss as well as for the protection of our phones from viruses.

Pros

It is good at blocking calls and text messages.
The interface is easy to navigate and the features it offers are quite visible.
It provides backup storage which is very useful for us.
Its features are its basic strength like message blocking, battery measurement as well as network protection.

Cons

If they will reduce the price of this tool it will be greater.
Its scanning speed is somewhat disappointing.
Its setup takes a lot of time

This software is good at providing security to mobile devices. If someone is doing and performing major tasks of his organization via phone then he should have this software installed in his device so as to ensure protection and to protect data from any mishap of the attack of viruses and Malware. It is also good in blocking calls and spam messages.

Trend Micro Mobile Security is used by everyone in our organization to keep our data secure. As most employees use their smartphones while doing work-related tasks, this helps to reduce the risk of a virus infection or malware downloads. It also greatly reduces the risk of a data breach, as it will notify about possible attacks.

Pros

Central management means there's a place where you can view all the logs and notifications.
Block calls and SMS based on user policy.
Rating websites based on risk and block malicious content.

Cons

The interface may take some time to get used to.
Scanning sometimes is really quick, which appears to be too fast to actually check everything.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you and your employees use mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to do a lot of work-related tasks, having security software to keep sensitive data secure is very helpful and will greatly reduce the risk of a breach. It will also block calls to avoid getting spammed. It seems appropriate for any organization to protect their data, small or large.
