Automation and Templates

I use the automation feature to create lists of recurring activities each month. I also use the template feature, combined with the checklists, to create lists of reports that need to be sent on a monthly basis.

Personal Productivity

We use Trello to track small, on-going projects that help us prioritize our tasks, which are important. I have been using this to track my personal tasks also, which has helped a lot to manage my tasks effectively.

Please provide some detailed examples of areas where Trello has room for improvement.

From 16 reviews

Reviewers identified several areas where Trello could enhance its functionality and user experience. A notable concern, cited by 3 of 16 reviewers, is the platform's limited reporting and analytics capabilities, often requiring external extensions for time tracking or offering unintuitive timeline views. Similarly, 3 reviewers highlighted challenges with card and list management, particularly when dealing with extensive task lists within a single column, which can lead to items being overlooked or the interface becoming visually overwhelming. Performance and reliability issues were also raised by 2 reviewers, who experienced system crashes that impacted daily operations and offline access. Additionally, 2 reviewers pointed out deficiencies in notifications, noting that email alerts often lack critical details or are excessive, despite options to customize them. These observations suggest opportunities for Trello to mature its reporting tools, refine its list handling for large projects, bolster system stability, improve notification utility, and expand customization features.

Reporting and Analytics

Trello Lacks comprehensive reporting. Even with Paid features these things are missing

Card and List Management

Long task lists in a given column can be difficult to manage; cards at the bottom of a list can get easily forgotten

Performance and Reliability

Improve security. During the time we were using the platform, it crashed several times, impacting our daily operations, leaving us with no way to access it offline (the phone app was an option, but this, too, tended to fail).
