Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use this as a form of HIPPA-compliant communication between nurses and doctors. Tigertext is just one platform that provides a secure way to communicate and has options to remind people to follow up. Even has an urgent notification option.

Pros

  • The product works great on its own.
  • There is a free trail version that you can use to test if the product will work for your needs.
  • Installation is quite easy on the device as well.

Cons

  • Pricing can be a little out of the range for smaller departments.
  • I feel that the working environment could be tweaked a bit more to make it better to use for newer individuals.

Return on Investment

  • This had a positive impact on our tiny department because it allowed the students to have some real world experience, so that they are not blindsided when it comes up to them.

Pros

  • The security (HIPAA compliant & patient privacy)--you receive a confirmation of any messages being sent quickly, and it lets you know when the receiver has read the message
  • You can actually see the three dots when the person is typing to reply to your message.

Cons

  • You have to have two apps downloaded: one for security and the actual app.
  • A video to walk users through the setup would be ideal.

Return on Investment

  • This product has helped us quite a bit. We can now text doctors and communicate with them quickly rather than having to call them.
  • I find it’s very secure, and it notifies you regardless of sound on mobile devices.
