Easy to use task organizer

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use TickTick for individual to-do organization. Each of our members can use it, organize their day and what is supposed to be done each day all while maintaining a running list on future tasks and projects. It definitely addresses the problem of lost or misplaced lists, which were mostly handwritten, and hard to read if members were absent or ill.

Pros

  • to do lists
  • sorting tasks for priorities
  • adding things quickly

Cons

  • should be easier to integrate with other apps
  • better team options

Likelihood to Recommend

It is super helpful to oragnize ones day, for example coming into work, checking emails. transferring occuring tasks into TickTick to do later in the day and not forget. It is not suitable, at least in our experience, to organize large projects with many people and many different tasks in many different categories. We at least believe it gets to chaotic for that.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I don’t currently use TickTick in my organization, but I rely on it personally to manage various tasks and responsibilities. For my own use, TickTick serves as a central hub to track and organize my work-related to-dos, meeting notes, and household tasks. On my work front, I have effectively created tasks in different lists, categorized them optimally, prioritized them based on the company's requirements, and executed them consistently. I also find it extremely useful for managing household chores and planning shared responsibilities with my wife. The app’s ability to create shared lists and assign tasks makes it easy for us to stay on the same page, whether it's meal planning, grocery shopping, or managing ongoing home projects.

Pros

  • Prioritization and Eisenhower matrix.
  • Segregation of lists, filters on a list level, sorting on multiple levels.
  • Effective view of sub-tasks and description of tasks that are easier to write, glance at, and access.
  • Integrations with Google Calendar, Slack.
  • Chrome plugin to support gmail.

Cons

  • 2 way sync integration with Google Calendar.
  • Sync with Apple Calendar and Reminders.
  • Natural language processing.
  • AI enabled quick task creation, suggestions and segregation.
  • AI suggested segregation of tasks.

Very well suited: 1. Small organizations and businesses ( 50, I don't think Ticktick is the best tool for that... Ticktick is excellent for keeping oneself accountable and on point with one's task. There should be an inherent sense of ownership from the user because an app can only do so much. It is not well suited for big organizations with more than 50 people, where visibility of stats is required on an admin or higher level. Plus, collaboration will become a lot clunkier as the number of team members increases. Knowledge management will also be an issue.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use TickTick to keep track of all of the tasks that I have to accomplish. It allows me to document, view, and prioritize everything that I have to get done. I can attach files or link tasks to notes or other tasks. It helps keep me organized and ensures that I don't forget anything.

Pros

  • Task management
  • Daily/Weekly Planning
  • Calendaring

Cons

  • It would be nice if subtasks were still visible on the main task after they are checked off
  • Setup can take some work
  • More available lists in the free version would be helpful.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is helpful in an office environment. It allows me to keep track of my tasks when I am at my computer in the office, working remotely, or even from my phone or tablet. It works anywhere. I haven't used it for tracking personal tasks, so I am not sure how it fares there.

Simple but robust personal task management

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We're using TickTick as additional personal task management rather than company-wide task management. We implement TickTick as a personal Getting Things Done framework for each individual.

Pros

  • Quick Input Feature
  • Custom List
  • Multi view. Including the calendar view and kanban view
  • Multi-platform including web, desktop, and mobile
  • Easy-to-share specific list

Cons

  • Mobile app is laggy

Likelihood to Recommend

The custom list is amazing! You can filter the tasks based on time, or priority, or tag, you name it. You can also share this specific list with another user.

We use TickTick for the personal task management app, so everyone can have a quick list of tasks that needs to be done today or this week in a simple list. The sharing feature is useful when someone is out of the office because then they can just share the list with their line manager or team to take over the tasks.

Put this software on your to-do list!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

TickTick is a platform we chose to implement for our administrative staff. We were having a hard time finding a solution for managing recurring tasks for each of our staff members. These are tasks that happen at regular intervals that don't seem to happen if there isn't a reminder - or a wake up in the middle of the night moment - "I FORGOT TO DO THAT." We knew we needed a way to manage all of the tasks for each staff member in a single location (so they stay in the company hub). TickTick has SOLVED this problem for us and is fantastic!

Pros

  • Organizing tasks into lists.
  • Allowing for notifications and reminders for tasks.
  • Allowing tasks to be one time or recurring.
  • The ability to share lists with other people for collaboration.
  • Fully functional mobile app.

Cons

  • The task reminders are in the form of a notification - it would be nice to have an email option.
  • All tasks due on the same day/time show up as one notification versus separate - this can be hard to separate as far as task planning goes.

Likelihood to Recommend

TickTick works well for personal use - managing daily and/or recurring to do's through a variety of lists. These can be renamed as needed. This has contributed to an increase in the completion of projects for me. TickTick also works well for collaboration on a list by list basis. Say that I have a project at work that I need to work with a teammate on - I can create the list and share it with my teammate. From there we can tag-team the project. There is the option for adding to-do lists inside of a top-level list and areas for commenting by the collaborators. This allows us to bypass unneeded meetings or emails to remember what needs to be done next on the project.

TickTick may be less suited for situations where photos or files need to be shared for a project or for more complex project management.
