Thinkific is more appropriate, in our organization's opinion, to scenarios in which you already have a navigation process in mind, all of your courses organized somewhere else. It is harder to use it to start from scratch. The user experience part needs to be added by us and there's not enough guidance on how to effectively do that.
We use Thinkific to train volunteers and staff as well as to inform and educate other stakeholders on immigration related issues.
Pros
Straightforward course & site builder
Makes selling courses easy
Wide array of available integrations that are seamless to install
Cons
Digital downloads are off to a good start but need further enhancements. Would like them to be able to be included in the Resource Library. And it's frustrating that the landing page option for those is only the AI option.
WHYSIWIG does not perform seamlessly with our custom fonts & colors. It almost never looks the same in the live coruse as it does in the course editor.
Would really love the opportunity for a customizable site admin so we can offer something in between full access and individual course access. Same thing is true for community moderator. It's great you added that role, but they still can't do some of the pivotal functions of running a community without being a Site Admin.

Thinkific is great for e-commerce e-learning and engagement. It's great if you don't have a lot of admins. It's great if you want a simple one-stop-shop type of platform to provide a variety of basic product offerings or are comfortable doing integrations to make courses interactive. Our straightforward external use of the platform has been pretty straightforward to implement and maintain and most system enhancements are helpful for this.
I would not recommend Thinkific for HR or organizational learning. It's great to be able to allow a variety of staff members to create trainings for their colleagues, but been a tough system to integrate into our other organizational systems. I also would not necessarily recommend it for complex membership style offerings. We're using it in both of these capacities because our organization wanted to make more use of the courses we were creating for volunteers & sale. But it's constantly a beast to make it work for these other uses.
We use Thinkific for participant courses as well as staff trainings. We have people from all over the world that participates in online trainings, as well as hosts their own in-person using the materials within Thinkific. We have also started the process to convert all our new-hire trainings in to the system as well.
Pros
Organization
Flow of operations

Cons
Reporting

I have found the assistance form the help team to be highly beneficial.

Thinkific Plus is ideal for short company courses, IT trainings, and program overviews, especially when quick, scalable learning is needed. It’s intuitive for both creators and learners. However, it’s less suited for in-depth academic programs or highly interactive, research-based content that requires advanced testing, grading, or peer engagement features typically found in higher ed platforms.

We use Thinkific Plus in our organization to create new academic programs in our institution. It helps us to store all the courses we have available for our students. We love it because it is complete and very easy to use.
Pros
Enrollments
Zoom classes uploaded to the platform
Organization
Cons
The only issue we currently have with Thinkific Plus is that they have to update the data for us to upload more than 2 gb of classes to the platform because it has a maximum of 2gb and sometimes when we do live events the classes weigh a lot of data and we can't upload it.

Thinkific Plus is suitable for nonprofits or schools targeting a global audience. Multi-language support and ease of customization help tailor content for diverse learners.
We use Thinkific Plus to deliver our customer education programs at scale to clients and partners and we also use it for training our internal employees.
Previously we used a different self hosted LMS platform solution which we had to put a lot of resources into managing and supporting on the techstack side which was holding us back from focusing on actually delivering our learning effectively. Thinkific solved this for us because it is a SAAS based LMS, and took away all the hosting and maintenance headaches.
Thinkific was also way more user friendly than our previous LMS, and being cloud based gives us the opportunity to easily include other business users in the administration and operation of it. Thinkific really opens up the availability of an LMS to other areas of our business, meaning we can offer the power of online education to parts of our company that didn't realise the benefits it could offer.
Pros
Enables course creators to deliver high quality courses very fast
Offers unlimited hosting for videos included in the subscription price
Provides an easy to use administration interface that's powerful and accessible
Easy to scale subscription tiers on B2C plans, cost effective highly scaleable B2B plans (Thinkific Plus) ideal for companies who want to start a customer education program
Amazing support and account management team - great mindset and people in the teams.
Cons
Built in community features lag behind other dedicated community platforms (though community isn't their main goal of course)

Thinkific is well suited for users who who want to make an impact teaching online, whether that's to B2C with independent course creators, or B2B where you're training clients, partners and internal staff for a company (which is how we deployed the Thinkific Plus plan). Deployment or migration is easy and the speed and ease of course creation and publication is second to none. It's probably the easiest LMS to administer whilst still providing a powerful suite of tools that give you the insight you need to grow your course business.Thinkific is ideal for creating a customer education program for your business, automating onboarding of client training and training partners too. The range of plans Thinkific offer equally make it ideal for smaller personal course creators too.
