One of our biggest challenges was juggling multiple client projects while keeping everything organised and transparent to clients. Teamwork addressed these pain points. With its intuitive interface, we could set up projects in minutes, assign tasks, track time, and monitor progress in a way that kept the entire team aligned.
Pros
Project creation
Time tracking
Task assignment
Task tracking
Project tracking
Cons
UI could be cleaner and less cumbersome
Time tracking feature sometimes hard to access
Task management with comments could be challenging for team members
Likelihood to Recommend
It helps small teams to manage projects, tasks and time schedule.
Teamwork is a great tool for keeping everyone on the same page and ensuring smooth collaboration between our employees and external associates. The ability to track projects, manage deadlines, and share various types of content like comments, images, and files can really streamline workflows and enhance productivity. As a manager I find it very valuable.
Pros
Tracking projects
Team member collaboration options
User friendly interface
Good features in the free version
Cons
Server performance at times
Reporting could be better
External integrations
Likelihood to Recommend
Teamwork's ability to create detailed project plans, assign tasks, set deadlines, manage users and track progress helps in coordinating efforts across different groups. While Teamwork.com offers great features, its pricing structure might be a consideration for smaller teams or startups with limited budgets. I do think that it is an investment that will pay off in the long run.

Manager in Information Technology (Translation & Localization company, 11-50 employees)
We manage physical construction projects with the software. It is helpful in some aspects but very limited in others. We use the software for time tracking, Planning, Gantt charts and assets management. The cost tracking is hard since You cannot really add any file (scan or the invoice to be attached), so You have to do it elsewhere.
Pros
It's a good tool to share the project plan with the clients
Cons
Terrible Gantt chart in the browser - bugs all the time, in my opinion.
no option to add the invoices (as a document) in costs, in my opinion
the tasks view is so complicated that we had to use Trello to easy view the tasks
complicated menu - hard to find anything, in my opinion
it's very counterintuitive as a tool, in my opinion
Likelihood to Recommend
I wouldn't recommend it since they are changing the payment plans and raising the prices in the middle of the period that You have already paid for... If I had a budget for PM tool accepted and paid a yearly fee - how can it be raised in the middle of this period... for me, it's highly unfair... Besides, it's a hard-to-navigate tool with everything so complicated, in my opinion. I believe there are much simpler tools out there which do a better job and are more honest when comes to billing.

Project Manager in Manufacturing (Architecture & Planning company, 51-200 employees)
We create projects, templates, tasks for employees to assign their time to, make use of the ghant chart for tracking project progress to make sure we are hitting our due dates, notebooks for managing items between team mates, messages for keeping track of file locations on dropbox, invoicing for projects that have had a submission and we use it to manage project tasks and have our employees track their time.
Pros
Project templates are a huge asset so we don't have to recreate projects from scratch
Calendar is great for keeping track of company holidays, employees that are off, and project due dates
The ability for employees to track their time via clocking in and out for the day and tracking time for specific tasks for invoicing purposes is great
Cons
Have had problems copying task template from one of our template projects
When I open smaller windows, like for selecting who will be notified for a message, the bottom half of the window is usually below the screen cut off, so I have to move it up manually each time to get to the "update" button
Likelihood to Recommend
Teamwork Projects is perfect for projects with multiple different tasks involved for multiple employees.

Our team uses Teamwork Projects to manage tasks and track time related to client projects. It's easy to use and works well for our staff and client collaborators.
Pros
Easy to use - clean interface, intuitive.
Great features - notifications, task assignments.
Cons
Reporting
Likelihood to Recommend
Teamwork is great for small to medium businesses but may become unwieldy for larger organizations. We've had a lot of success using it with clients as collaborators but, of course, that requires some additional management.

Teamwork is being used with a client that has required two different advertising agencies to work together on a massive project. It has helped to align the 30 plus person team and relay the outputs of the project to the client/end-user in a streamlined and efficient way that we wouldn't normally get with other project management software.
Pros
Multi-Company User Integration
Individual Task Assignment
Project Hour Logs
Cons
The software is complicated
If training exists for this platform then I don't know about it
Lack of overview for all features (I'm probably only scratching the surface of the platform)
Likelihood to Recommend
The best type of project for Teamwork would involve a large set of people that need to be informed every step of the way. We have a 30-35 person team that is working on the project with various roles from marketing automation to project manager to account manager and all need to be in the know. Teamwork does that for us.

It's used across our organization to manage projects, tasks and notes on each project.
Pros
Task management
Project organization
Central place to store notes/information
Cons
We've not successfully used the milestones/calendar/project management features. It's not great for project planning or getting a sense for timelines and keeping track of all the moving parts.
It would be nice to have a better section for project overview information
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for task management and as a record of time per task/project. Not well suited for other facets of actual project management.

Our entire organization uses Teamwork Projects internally and to collaborate with contractors for writing, design, development, etc. We have projects set up for each of our clients and are able to build out project templates for each type of service we offer. We really lean on it for time tracking and reporting that time back to our clients--as we typically work on an hourly basis (retainer). It solves lots of potential issues for us, some examples are making sure that everyone can know exactly what they should be working on each day when they get in, knowing when things are in the range of becoming overdue, and being aware of the times when we are spending too few or too many hours on a specific client in a given month.
Pros
Time tracking is exceptional, especially the reporting functionality of it. Being able to mark time as billable vs. non-billable is a huge plus for ad-hoc work.
Assigning tasks to multiple users and attaching followers to specific tasks keeps everyone informed who needs to be. It's nice to have a choice between email and mobile notifications.
The commenting feature is one we use a lot, and it's great that you can attach files and @ mention specific users inside of comments on tasks and subtasks.
Cons
We don't really use the dashboards, so maybe if they were pushed harder by the platform and we saw value in them, we would.
It would be nice to have the ability to do more formatting of text in tasks and subtasks without having the lookup markdown language.
We don't use milestones and are unsure of how that feature could really help.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think it's suited in organizations of all sizes as we haven't seen any real limitations of it in our small business or in some of the larger businesses we've helped implement it in. If a company has a team where some members are full-time, some are part-time, some are in the office, some are out and there are contractors who you never see, this tool is a must. From a stakeholder's standpoint, without it, it would be hard to know exactly what was going on in terms of employee productivity from day to day.
We used Teamwork Projects as our project management and time tracking tool for our marketing agency. It wasn't the tool we used when I first started at the company, but I recommended it after we were looking for ways to improve our efficiency. I had a great experience with Teamwork Projects in the past, so I recommended it.
Pros
User-friendly interface.
Easy to pass tasks on to the next person.
Integrates easily with other software.
Time tracking is convenient.
Cons
The overall look could be improved.
More features could be added.
The card-based board could be improved.
Likelihood to Recommend
Teamwork Projects is great for marketing agencies or any company that deals with multiple clients and has a steady stream of products coming down the pipeline. It might be less appropriate for companies who deal only with fewer large products, or teams of only one or two people. It's more ideal for mid-size companies.
We are using it as a project manager. Clients contract with us for marketing, advertising, and creative services. All their projects are added to TeamWork, so we can keep track of all tasks that are needed and due dates for those tasks and the entire project. We are also able to store the client's assets for a project and share with the client those assets.
Pros
Teamwork does a very good job of communication between our company and the client. It helps us keep track of all the communication back and forth so things don't get lost.
We can link to all the assets for a client that are stored within TeamWork or in our cloud service providers like Google Drive and Box. Again, it provides a way for us to keep track of all the assets for a client.
It keeps track of time very well for a project by our employees. We bill based on our time on a project for a client. If our timekeeping wasn't very good, we would not make any money.
Cons
Task templates are a little difficult to use. I think an improvement in using task templates would be helpful for things that are always repeated.
Project templates would also be very helpful.
Marking tasks that are billable or not billable. My employees have a hard time with the billable and not billable parts of the task, so it would be helpful if the administrator could mark the tasks as billable/non-billable upon making the task and the user could not change it.
Likelihood to Recommend
I have a hard time with scheduling tasks. I don't want all the tasks to show up in someone's to-do list if the task is supposed to be done later on. At the moment, we don't add dates to tasks that will be done a few days later, so those tasks don't show up in the task list of a user. I would like dates to show up once the previous task has been completed.
