Effectiveness of Teamwork projects

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

[Teamwork Projects] is being used in some of our projects, where to monitor progress and execution it is widely implemented, further it helps to execute the scenarios which were causing disruptions in projects. In a project sub functions or works are planned by timeline with the help of Teamwork projects. In overall assessment of project monitoring by scorecard teamwork plays vital role in reporting. Cost estimation and duration estimation periodically can be obtained like gannt chart etc.

Pros

  • Project compilation in sub projects
  • Effective reporting timelines physically vs planned hence it declared actual responsible or delayings.
  • Reporting related to Cost working, workmen working thier deputation can be obtained in projects and sub projects even in further functions.

Cons

  • Visualization needs to be improved, charts graphs are limited
  • Value stream mapping should be available to determine and prioritize the work.
  • Documentation should be available stepwise with export and printable facility.
  • It should be configurable like ERP with cross functionalities of different users, where users login, assign and approve the work, job or project details, where it should be collectively effected on a project.
  • Add many examples, little more AI, Machine learning required for suggestion and recommendation. It would be a plus point

Likelihood to Recommend

[Teamwork Projects is] best where single user handling it, status is being updated by single users, suited for normally small medium non complex construction projects, production setup and services setup.

Great Project Management Tool Online

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have used free version of the Teamwork within my department. During last year we were working from home due to COVID-19 and needed to find a free or cost effective online tool that could help us in managing our day to day tasks and in delegation of work. So we tried Teamwork and found it very effective.

Pros

  • It has a free version that can accommodate limited needs and of-course you can test it for free before subscribing to a paid version.
  • It's very much user friendly and everyone can understand it without any tutorials.
  • It is available on Mobile as well as computer desktop version.

Cons

  • There pricing needs to be more flexible in order to accommodate small businesses or entrepreneurs.
  • They need to improve their customer support and their response time especially on emails. Free version users are their prospective customers so they need to focus more on them and respond to their queries promptly.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited for teams to manage different project especially work related to IT & E-Commerce. It has a very easy to understand user interface and have good graphical dashboard. Task delegation and keeping it's track is very effective using this tool. It can also be integrated with number of other similar apps.

Teamwork is feature rich but you better standardize how your team uses it!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Teamwork projects to manage:
  • Design of new products (teams of 5-10 engineers).
  • Manufacture of products (team of 40 production/assembly staff).
Teamwork allows us to manage all our teams in one place.

Pros

  • Great for managing tasks over multiple projects.
  • Prioritizing tasks from different projects relative to each other.

Cons

  • Not great for communication: We integrate with MS Teams and it is working well.
  • Can be slow to load when there are lots of tasks are in a project (50+ tasks in a Gantt chart it starts to break).

Likelihood to Recommend

Teamwork has a huge amount of functionality. Each company/team will need to figure out the best way for them to use it. Key questions are: Do you want to manage tasks on boards, list, or Gantt? Do you want to prioritize based on: due date, start date, priority, or board?n There are so many features you need to be very clear with your team about how you are using them. At the end of the day, everyone just needs to be working on the right task.

Teamwork Makes The Dream Work

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization was introduced to Teamwork as a potential replacement for Microsoft Project about 6 months ago. Right away, the team was very interested in using the platform because it appeared to be much easier to use and more insightful. We immediately began testing it, and after only a few weeks we were able to roll the platform out to the whole company. Teamwork helps us keep track of project tasks big and small and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Pros

  • Easy to use.
  • Inexpensive.

Cons

  • Reporting.
  • Interface design.

Likelihood to Recommend

We are a small organization and Teamwork is perfectly situated to serve a company our size. I can see where it might not be quite ready for a large enterprise - but for us, Teamwork lowers the bar to entry in the project management platform space because it is heaps easier to use than Microsoft Project, it doesn't require SharePoint, and it just works.

The best option for small teams with big projects

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are currently using Teamwork Projects between 4 departments: Marketing, Design, Engineering and Customer Service. The bulk of use is coming from Marketing & Engineering, with Design and Customer Service doing mostly monitoring of projects.

Pros

  • Viewing of prioritized task lists & dependencies by project or team member.
  • Assignment and notification of project tasks through the app, email or text.
  • Creating and adjusting project work loads via live Gantt charts.

Cons

  • Time tracking could be more intuitive.
  • It's browser based and a desktop app would be much better.
  • Better/deeper Slack integration (especially without using Zapier).

Likelihood to Recommend

Teamwork Projects is well suited to any environment where a small team between 3-5 teams is needed to be tasked with items on the project, given deadlines and sharing limited resources.

It is not the best when sharing large assets or having to keep versions of those assets in larger programs for design or 3D. It is also slightly cumbersome in time keeping so you might want a different solution for that.
