TeamViewer is primarily used by organizations for remote IT support, troubleshooting, and comprehensive remote access to systems, enabling IT teams to manage devices and perform software installations across various locations. In TrustRadius reviews, its robust remote access and control capabilities are frequently praised by 64% of respondents, alongside efficient file transfer and broad cross-platform compatibility, making it crucial for distributed teams and multinational companies.
The platform significantly contributes to cost savings by reducing travel expenses and boosts productivity through faster problem resolution. However, reviewers frequently cite high licensing costs, with 30% noting it as expensive, and report issues with connection stability and performance degradation on low-bandwidth networks. Despite these concerns, the overall sentiment points to a strong positive ROI.
Pros
Robust remote access and control for diverse devices
Efficient file transfer between remote and local systems
Broad compatibility across operating systems and mobile devices
Significant reduction in travel expenses and operational costs
Enhanced productivity through faster problem resolution
Cons
High licensing costs, particularly for smaller organizations
Frequent connection stability issues and disconnections reported
Performance degradation on low-bandwidth or unstable networks
User interface can be complex and cluttered for new users
TeamViewer was used by the technical IT team to troubleshoot issues remotely across our interconnected global corporate networks. This product allowed the ease of use remotely, especially where it had to do not only with taking full control of users' devices but also my most loved feature, the remote reboot.
Pros
It allow remote desktop assistance.
It allows remote monitoring and collaboration with users in the form of remote tutoring using both audio and texting.
It permits remote system control even allowing reboot and restoration of session.
Cons
I am unsure about improving for simplicity, but I think there should be a better border to distinguish the active session windows in full-screen mode from the actual technical user's window. It gets confusing at times. The blue border is somewhat too thin.

I would think TeamViewer pulls it off when it comes to remote technical assistance. My work colleagues at previous workplaces and I have found it to be instrumental in achieving productivity, especially when we couldn't be in place in split seconds to resolve mission-critical and time-sensitive issues.
I support about 50 computers remotely at a church in TN. About 10 of these are servers and the rest are user workstations. Because I am rarely on-site, I need to be able to connect to all of these computers quickly and easily at any time, 24/7. I have a paid business license which allows me to connect to any number of computers running the TeamViewer application from up to three registered computers. When I logon to my account from one of these three computers, I have links to all of the computers that I support.
Pros
Connects quickly.
Video quality is excellent.
Sound from the remote computer may come through, depending on the setting you have in place.
The TeamViewer interface allows you to put the computers you support into meaningful groups.
Each computer that you keep a shortcut for has a place for note specific to the computer that I have found to be helpful.
Cons
Sometimes when you try to connect, the video will hang with an error, something about "adjusting video parameters" or something similar to this wording.
Sometimes, the response on the remote computer is delayed and it's hard to know if the problem is a network problem on the remote end, or if the Team Service happens to be running slow (which happens occasionally.
My Business license only allows me one active channel at a time, so if I forget to disconnect from a remote session on one of my three licenses computers, I will have to go back and disconnect this session before being able to connect again from my other 2 licensed computers.
It takes a long time to get an email response from support when you send problems in (usually a day or two).
TeamViewer recently made changes to the user interface that were, in my opinion, not very intuitive. With this, if you go to their website to download their application, there are now several versions to choose form and it's hard to a average user to know which one to download.
Likelihood to Recommend
My recommendation would depend on the need. If a user is needing to connect remotely from a small number of computers to potentially a large number of computers, I would highly recommend TeamViewer. If, however, the the need is opposite from this (needing to connect from many computers to only a few specific computers, as in a typical work-from-home situation), there are alternative programs that do will do this just as well for a much lower cost.

We leverage technology at multiple levels in our organization, and the need to remote in and have others remote assist is often time-sensitive. We need a cross-platform ease-of-use solution for such applications, and TeamViewer is superior!
Pros
Cuts through permissions, firewalls, and other restrictions that other software often cannot get through.
Responsiveness of TeamViewer is nearly as real-time as the actual workstation.
Mirroring hardware and resolution is superb.
The ability to easily chat while remote assistance is active is also invaluable.
Cons
My primary hindrance for using TeamViewer as a tech decision maker is the price points of the subscription.
There have also been a couple challenges for functionality on Mac due to OS updates or TeamViewer updates.
The requirement of remote computers to log in with the organization or individual’s login has also been a challenge…especially when passwords change.
Likelihood to Recommend
The ability to work, regardless of the level of experience of the users is quality number 1!
Our small business was using TeamViewer to remotely connect to client devices and internal devices within our network. The goal was to easily and securely do the work on remote devices, to change configurations, debug problems, reduce errors and simplify internal processes. These are key business objectives for our business
Pros
Remote networking
Remote bug fixing
High security
Cons
Cost
Customer support
Client onboarding
Likelihood to Recommend
TeamViewer is good for large organisations, IT companies and organisations whose business revolves around remote connectivity. As a small business whose primary objective wasn't IT solutions, we found it hard to justify the increasing expenses of the software with other alternatives that could achieve the same outcome with a smaller price tag.

I use TeamViewer at a small non-profit to remotely control various computers & servers not assigned to a specific person. For example: printer kiosks, digital signage displays, and IP camera servers. It puts the remote connections in one spot so that I can remotely assist users or perform manual maintenance/troubleshooting even when no one is there.
Pros
Interface lists all managed computers in one spot
Multiple simultaneous remote connections in tabs or different windows
Interactive remote-control - allows sharing control with user physically present
Easy setup - no port forwarding required, works with NAT
Also has a free version for personal use at home
Remote control on mobile app works really well
Cons
Questionable reputation for security in the past
Expensive for very small-scale use cases
Likelihood to Recommend
TeamViewer is excellent for smaller teams (15-50 people) that need to manage common devices like kiosks for maintenance, technical support, or just working on them. The remote control feature is responsive and pretty robust.
I don't think it's well suited for large enterprises where security and flexibility are high priorities.

I use TeamViewer to provide remote support to other users in our organization. Most of the time we use Remote Utilities for this, but sometimes this does not work, so we discovered TeamViewer provides an elegant alternative. It is simple to install and use, and is reliable in its function.
Pros
Remote Support
Sharing Desktop
Screen Share
Cons
Save connection credentials
Easier/quicker connection with less confusing password
Always enable unattended connection
Likelihood to Recommend
You need to provide remote assistance. This is an easy task with TeamViewer. Simple for the client to install, and easy to explain how to connect and use it. Quick learning curve. Fast connection. Quality viewer with clear screens and fast refresh and no problems with lag or waiting around.

We mostly utilize TeamViewer for remote access of digital sign feed computers that have no end user at them for troubleshooting and authorization/login, but have also used it for remote support for users who are on the road and not physically accessible. It is most helpful for us when there is an issue with a computer that has no user at it at any given time.
Pros
Remote Computer Control
No access control/login
Simplified Interface
Cons
Remote Wake
Notifications of computer not available for access
Likelihood to Recommend
Most suited for users' devices who are not available physically for troubleshooting. Also it is most suited for remote control of devices where no user is present in order to allow remote access or login. Less appropriate for remote work that needs color accuracy or mouse precision while using a computer not in your possession.
I use TeamViewer for employees that need to work remotely for long periods of time. In addition, I can use TeamViewer to remotely troubleshoot user machines.
Pros
TeamViewer does a great job reliably connecting.
The connection is stable and secure.
TeamViewer does a great job with the remote control GUI.
The GUI is minimal and not distracting.
The GUI speed is robust as well.
I like the connection monitor. I can see, at a glance, which machines are online and can be connected to.
Cons
A few years back, TeamViewer moved to an annual subscription. At the annual price-point, I feel the ROI is reduced.
I still have an old perpetual license. TeamViewer makes it difficult to use by not allowing it to connect to machines that have the new client software.
TeamViewer can improve upon making their downloads less cumbersome. Their download portal points to their annual subscription software.
Likelihood to Recommend
TeamViewer has certainly saved many hour of labor. Being able to reach remote machines, without travel, is a huge plus. However, I don't think it is exclusive to TeamViewer's technology. There are other reputable remote software packages that would afford the same benefits.

TeamViewer is the latest system-sharing software that provides support to our customers belongs from remote locations when they face problems with their car system we use TeamViewer to connect their car's computer to ours and then diagnose the problem in a better way. This saves a lot of time and travel costs for me and my team and also allows us to provide our customers with the best and most convenient service creating a good image of the company also.
Pros
Helps us in doing video conferencing when needed
Files can be accessed and shared between different systems
All data stored in our highly encrypted for the safety.
Cons
The connection between different systems can be improved to avoid buffering and lagging while working.
If it would have a tool to operate the other person's computer control of the mouse and keyboards then that would have been much better.
Some features are quite difficult to locate due to their complex interface

When we train our new employees on how to detail and wash cars, during the training period we take the help of TeamViewer to connect with their computers and show them how to become professionals in the services which we provide and also this is more efficient than training them individually one by one which takes a lot of time and less efficient, now we can do the bulk training together at once but the main issue which we face during training is the physical interaction which highly lacks and make some of the parts of training are difficult to convey and make them understand.
I have three computers in different locations and have used TeamViewer to move files from one to the other, open documents, update computer files etc. I have been using the free version as all of the work is limited to these three computers, all of which our owned by our mission. TeamViewer has now limited my account, saying my usage indicates I am using their program for professional support. In my experience, I have tried to contact support but have had no help and so. I feel, if a company offers a free version of their product then they should make it actually available! In my opinion, if a company can't be trusted in small things no way should it be trusted it for a large investment.
Pros
TeamViewer allows uncomplicated access to computers in remote locations
It works without any problems and allows copying, moving of files
TeamViewer also allows you to access all the drives connected to the remote computer. It is a great program
It's free for non-commercial use - in my opinion, as long as they don't accuse you of commercial use
Cons
Offering a way to dispute TeamViewer's decision that a user is using their product for profit
Likelihood to Recommend
As a free program, it works wonderfully to access remote computers. But for whatever reason, in my experience, when the company decides you are using it for professional support (even if all of your use is your own computers) you are finished and there is no way to get it changed.
