It helped a lot in storing critical information from the email in a a standardized data set that allowed our supply chain team to utilize the information swiftly and act accordingly it saved a lot of time in communication and more on effective communication that helped to honor the customer service agreements and increase customer satisfaction.

  • Workflow creation is simple and easy, the flow structure is easy to read and can be directly used in presentation to customers and management

Cons

  • Just like power automate if it had template that can be used directly by editing to the use case would save further time
  • Training videos are available, but the community is limited so to solve a specific use case it could take a lot of time, larger support community would be helpful

While working in Last Mile appointment-based supply chain deliveries to high end customers it was very critical that our company honors the appointment given to increase customer satisfaction and support sales. Since the appointments are spread throughout the day with limited manpower, we usually missed the appointments and spent a lot of time in rescheduling and then further delaying the existing appointment and future appointments. With automating email communication we were able to store the information and communicate with the concerned supply chain team so that they could take action simultaneously and optimize supply china operations and cutomer satisfaction.

Currently, the scope of our use case includes the automation of the following processes: data migration from existing legacy systems; capturing unstructured data from incoming requests; information aggregation from various sources; preprocessing input documents using algorithms; passing processed information/documents on to downstream activities/applications; monitoring compliance and performance standards as per regulatory guidelines.

Happy Automation with Blue Prism

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Most robust automation tool available currently in the market. Very easy to implement/set up and to understand even for the college kids who are just starting their career in Automation IT. We are using it for many of the automation use cases for our client and day by day the inflow of new projects is just going up and up, such is the standard set by the RPA solutions for our client. This has significantly reduced manual efforts of the client as well as their IT partners so that valuable time can be spent on more critical tasks.

  • Simple and easy to understand architect.

Cons

  • Not sure if they have planned upgrade where they can support chromium browser extension.
  • Cloud control room.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is best suited if the target application is Windows-based. If the target application is web-based and it is not stable, then I am afraid you will have a hell of a time running your bot. Also, surface automation, if you have target applications within remote desktops, it is not that reliable compared to other RPA tools.

Our company uses Blue Prism RPA to create robust automations that are quite good. It has preset automation which only needs to be edited a little to make them viable for one's own business. The risk compliance is very high in large projects but it is perfect for small projects which need basic automation. It has an amazing User-Interface which is very easy to use if you have prior experience working with RPA. It becomes a mess if you have too many ongoing projects but it is quite good for people who are new to the industry.

I was working on a large/complex process, thus I was creating test cases and scenarios for it. I searched the web and only found two cases. This is insufficient for me. More example test cases/scenarios were required and they were not available. I feel that Blue Prism needs to provide more test cases and scenarios for those who are new to the industry.

Adopted Blue Prism Intelligent RPA to automate the manual and repetitive business process which consumed most of the time with minimal technical expertise. Able to integrate/automate most of the applications. It also has the feature of making the functions generic objects which can be reusable. We can manage the orchestration seamlessly to run the BOT either in attended or unattended mode.

We could see a return on investment/efficiency in the deliverables after automating and deploying the business process. The time taken to learn/adapt and develop the business process is very minimal and the product is straightforward. The product documentation is not appropriate, which becomes a concern when a quick resolution is required.

Blue Prism Intelligent is one of the RPA tools which we use within our organization. As per our analysis, this is one of the best enterprise level RPA solutions available in the market. This software suits well for mid and large scale organizations. Within our firm we use this tool to automate rule based processes which takes a lot of manual effort. this software is used in conjunction with Appian BPM, Python, Excel macros etc to get best in class solutions. This tool is primarily used to automate business processes but recently we started using it for technology processes as well like automating server reboots etc based on a ServiceNow request.

Pros

  • Integration with multiple automation tools
  • Scalability and reusability- Can create custom process which can be re-used while building other processes
  • Great UI and easy to code low code RPA tool
  • Easy to learn and Implement

Cons

  • Surface Automation - The tool is not working well with certain applications hosted on Citrix
  • Provide more integrations with excel as majority of the business process use excel
  • Community Support- unlike other development tools we do not have a lot of help topics available on Google.

Blue Prism Intelligent RPA is well suited for the processes which are rules-based in nature. This software works well with web based application integrations. It's very easy to capture the object details and code the workflow with ease. The record functionally will do the trick most of the time and will save a lot of effort in coding the workflow. Work needs to continue in the surface automation part. It works with surface automation but there are chances of failure sometimes and we feel like the control of automation is very fragile.

  • Interaction with Chrome could be better.
  • Specific objects or skills to use Google Suite.

Well suited: Excel, Java applications.
Less appropriate: URLs that are only accessible with Chrome, or anything related to Google suite (you will need an API or WS to be able to work with those and normally they are kind of limited as well).

We use Blue Prism for automating the certain kinds of Fixed process in our organization, we have few regions which look after the automation and we perform the required tasks and deliver the required RPA bots, It is being only used by department RPA COE and delivery the required solutions to the customers in need. Business problem includes finance which could be from insurance-related, payroll and other related, grocery stores billing system reports generation and many more things are being automated and successfully running them.

Pros

  • Resource pooling is excellent.
  • The control room, work queue management is an added strength to the Blue Prism tool.
  • The release manager is also very good for deploying the packages in the new environment.
  • It has the feature to identify the references for the used variables and the objects so while deploying the package it is easy to deploy without missing the important data.
  • Scheduling, user management is simple to use and is very clear.

Cons

  • Object handling can be improved more and instead of going through each and every object to find its functionality it is hard and only the experienced BP tool user can understand.
  • The identification of the elements can be improved much more with having useful details in place instead of only using the Indexes for the elements.
  • In the environment variables pane, they can add some grouping facility to divide the variables in the environment variables section.
  • Can improve the calculation stage for doing string operations using the VB commands instead of using code and inbuilt native functions to save time.

The tool is well suitable for the web, desktop automation's but when it comes to Citrix it lags the automation capabilities and needed to use the additional the OCR and need to integrate with other software's, developing the Citrix automation is time-consuming and difficult task for the developer, When it comes to Web, Desktop it is very good in making the things done.
