Family Business Facilitator
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I have a family business. I have several PCs at my home office. My remote users use Splashtop to login from their home to the target PC at my home office. My databases and email accounts are specific to the host PC so the remote user logs on to a specific PC to do a business function. Each PC has a logon so my personal PC is only accessible from me whereas my business PCs are accessible by others. When I am out of the office I often use my cell phone to log into my PC to check on emails or look at a report. Spashtop tells me if someone else is logged in that PC and I decide to bump them or not. Its not practical to do transactions from my cell phone but I can browse with it to see if I need to login from a big screen PC. to take action. I take a small laptop when I travel which lets me check on the business while I'm away. Of course my host PCs at home need to be left on to enable me to login. When power fails occur depending on the length of the outage the host PC may be off so I may need to get someone to restart that PC soo I can login.
