Splashtop is being used in our organization (A K-12 School District) across all devices. Mainly we use MacBooks. We originally used Splashtop for remote desktop support. We had some minor difficulty with deployment due to Apple's increased security settings, however that is unavoidable. Splashtop has continued to grow their offerings and now has many remote management solutions baked right in. I love that we can now use it to update the device's OS and applications. This has made remote management and support off our network much more painless and our staff do not have to wait nearly as long for simple remote fixes.
Pros
Device Organization / UI
Remote Desktop Support
The new OS update feature
Cons
Provide a way to mass update streamers / request the update instead of having to do it from the device's page in the Admin console
Offer more applications in the Management feature for Mac (update apps and pushing apps)
A bit more focus on Mac deployment
A dream would be for iPad or Chromebook remote desktop streamer function.
Likelihood to Recommend
Remote desktop support, file transfer and inventory is definitely strong in Splashtop. There seems to be better, yet a minor lack of support for Mac's vs Windows devices. This may be due to device limitations though.

We utilize Splashtop in several ways. Our servers are accessible to the tech department for remote support, allowing us to update and troubleshoot servers at any time. We have a user who needs to access their work computer from anywhere. This is very helpful since they need to be able to access their work at any time. It's a great program.
Pros
Splashtop connects without any lags on the remote user. end.
Splashtop gives options for signing into the remote device. It can be set up with a password or even without one.
The program sends me alerts for when a device is offline and when it comes back online. It's excellent at monitoring the online status of devices it's installed on.
The administrative part allows you to create users and assign them to devices. Therefore, they only access what they need.
Cons
It would be great to send alerts for administrators when someone logs into the program and accesses a device.
Give reasons why a device was rebooted.
Provide security software with the program.
Likelihood to Recommend
The program is excellent for troubleshooting remote users. It's been great being able to update servers from anywhere.

We primarily utilize this tool to provide remote support to our users. We have several users who also utilize this tool to access their devices remotely.
Pros
Great display on remote sessions.
The ability to open a chat window prior to remote onto device.
Quick and easy file transfer to device off the domain.
Cons
For our use case, the concerns we have had in the past have been addressed with feature updates.
Likelihood to Recommend
We have had temporary employees who did not have the licensing to access our internal network via VPN. Splashtop solved this by granting them remote access to their device.

Splashtop is being used by the IT department to troubleshoot and maintain computers on campus. I specifically use Splashtop to remotely check and control every aspect of our radio station technology including remote transmitter sites. This allows me to make sure all is running well from home before we go live on the air early each morning, and it allows me to address technical issues that may occur during nights or weekends or when trying to take vacation.
Pros
Well organized deployment and management of computers and users.
Works on various OS platforms. We use Windows and Linux computers and access with iOS and Android.
Choice of how to control the remote computer, depending on the access device
I like the file transfer feature.
Much more affordable than TeamViewer that I used to use.
Cons
It doesn't seem clear why sometimes two on my team with our multi-user license, can't access the same computer remotely at the same time.
When a link fails due to the internet connection, it doesn't always allow immediate reconnection. It takes time for the connection to time out so I can reconnect.
I wish that I could hear the remote computer's audio with the Linux deployment like I can with Windows.
Likelihood to Recommend
Works well for remote computer work and is affordable. I wouldn't have any freedom to travel or deal with issues from home if I didn't have Splashtop.
I work as an independent contractor for an organization as the Director of Operations. Our Founder/CEO and I use this so I can get into her laptop. She is older so sometimes I help her with technical things - like updating her Zoom account or if she is having a technical issue with Zoom/Teams. Additionally, I go on to access her files to add them to our database or clean up her files and downloads.
Pros
Connects quickly
Taskbar is easy to use & intuitive
Cost effective for small companies or limited budgets
Cons
Nothing I can think of - everything is easy to use, has the functions we need + some
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for: Accessing a computer in a flash to assist with a technical issue. Accessing a computer to organize files or gain access to files. Accessing a computer to help someone setup their screen and being able to toggle between multiple monitors with ease.

We use it as an integration with Atera. It assists with connecting remotely to devices for the needs of remote support and assistance. It allows me to better support staff in various remote locations and provides as an alternate means of connecting to a endpoint when other our other solution doesn't work.
Pros
Remote troubleshooting
Remote software installation
Advising staff in guided tutorials
Cons
Less variations of apps, there Splashtop for business, personal, RMM, and enterprise, can be confusing
It's difficult to uninstall on a mac, a specialized script is needed
overall very good product
Likelihood to Recommend
It's a great integration into Atera, it also provides a great SOS option to get staff connected if they don't have the agent installed. The quality of connection is usually very good and works better than others. Ability to adjust image quality based on internet speed is a huge feature for us.

I live and work in Mexico and access our machines in Australia. We also use it for tech support for our customers. It is fast and reliable for us to use.
Pros
Remote access in a different country
Accessing my workstation from an iPad
Customer support for our clients
Cons
I wish we could have concurrent logins for at least a brief time to help with debugging.

For us, Splashtop is vastly superior to Team Viewer. I find it useful for our situations. You are, of course, limited by the network connection so things like streaming a movie on remote computer isn't great -- but it is possible to at least see and scroll through.
Splashtop helps us manage and provide remote access and support to our estate of over 350 machines, a mix of users onsite and working from home. We also use Splashtop SOS to provide remote support to people with BYOD.
Pros
Great Remote Access
Stable product with lots of features
Frequently added new functionality
Cons
None

Great product for IT departments needing remote access to machines where ever they may be, with great reliability and features, fair and consistent pricing

Our IT department uses it to remote all of our campus machines to support end users. This helped up the remote onto users' machines to solve issues. This saves us a lot of time. We didn't have to run around campus to physically get on the machines. We also used it for some patching of updates when our deployment solution was down.
Pros
Remote support
Software inventory on machines
Remote patching
Remote software installs
Cons
I think all it functions worked very well

With Splashtop SOS Unlimited, technicians can access unlimited attended
computers and mobile devices, as well as unlimited unattended computers. The file transfer drag and drop feature works very well. I don't feel like there is any scenario where it is less appropriate. All the functions are a benefit and can make it much easier on the technicians.
Splashtop Enterprise is used for remote access and remote support of our company's computers. It works extremely well for both Mac and PC and allows our workers to act as if they were in front of their computer while at home or on the road. It eliminates the need to be in the office at all times, and with mobile access doing tasks on the computer remotely is always an option.
Pros
Speed. Splashtop is super fast. It's hard to tell the difference between using the computer remotely and locally.
Convenience. You can access computers remotely from any device quickly and easily.
Cost. It's a great deal, especially when compared to the competitors. You get a lot of features from the money.
Cons
Any complaints are really nitpicky. Splashtop occasionally has maintenance windows but they are late at night.
File transfers work really well but big files can take some time.
The integrated Bit Defender add-on is severely limited, while inexpensive, I can't recommend it. For example, you can't exclude specific folders without emailing the company.

Splashtop is the perfect product for individuals who need remote access to their computers. As an IT administrator, I love having the ability to give specific users access to the machines they need and limiting others. The SOS feature is tremendously valuable for situations where the computer is not part of our network. Because of the cross-platform functionality, there is no computer out of reach. I often find myself using Splashtop to access computers that are only a few feet away from me because it's just easier and is almost like having a KVM switch.
