Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Specops Password Auditor is a (free) tool designed to help administrators and Cybersecurity staff to identify vulnerable passwords.
It connects to your Active Directory and performs a scan checking yours passwords against leaked passwords lists. Once the scan is completed you can see the results in a dashboard, and you can export them to a PDF file.

Pros

  • List of breached passwords
  • List of Expiring / expired / never expires passwords
  • List of users with the same password

Cons

  • On breached passwords, show the password
  • Add more languages for reporting to PDF

Likelihood to Recommend

It help us a los identifying problems with passwords: leaked, blank passwords, users with the never expires check or near expiring or already expired passwords.
It also helps us to identify accounts with high risk level due to the're delegable admin accounts and password not required and if you have users sharing the same password.
