We have used Sophos SG, XG and XGS Firewalls in our environment for over a decade now. They have all the essential features as a very competitive price point. I especially recommend them for SMB's as they provide a great value while keeping costs low.

Management takes a little to get used to. The workflows are backwards to everything else we have ever used.

Sophos Firewalls have been a fantastic investment in securing our environment. It is difficult to put an ROI on something like this but our small team has been able to efficiently utilize using this product without taking up a significant amount of time.
I have implemented these firewalls for numerous small companies. Great value for limited budgets.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the Sophos SG Firewall at a remote building to provide parameter security including port blocking, Intrusion detection, URL filtering, threat prevention and VPN capabilities to ensure the building network is secure. The firewall provides real time data back to our central portal allowing my team to consistently monitor and assess.

We would like more feature reach port blocking. This could be reorganized to make it easier on Network Admins to add or change ports.

We are using Sophos SG firewall in our organization to protect our corporate network and data from external cyber threats. It provide us load balancing feature that ensured us zero downtime and helped us to optimize links utilization. It enabled us to restrict web and app access to optimize bandwidth uses. With Sophos SG firewall, we are able to configure an IPsec VPN tunnel to enable remote access to the organization network.

I have used Sophos SG Firewall Appliances for my organization as well as for my clients. I was looking for L2-L3 support for Sophos SG Firewall Appliances firewall which would resolve multiple issues like troublesome web and app based policies issues, NAT related issues

From my point of view everything is fine but it would be very good if the old firewall logs could be managed for a long time
