Soluno Review
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Soluno is a cloud-based legal accounting product that is a full accounting system with complete financial reports along with the time/billing and trust accounting solution for law firms or any business that needs to track time, clients costs, and trust funds. Soluno allows me to offer controller services from anywhere.
Pros
- Soluno provides a comprehensive cloud based legal accounting solution.
- The billing module in Soluno allows for a one stop option for adjusting and previewing invoices before finalizing.
- Soluno is setup in such a manner that the interface is easy to follow for active data entry.
- Soluno has a great drag and drop feature to add documents to the accounts payable module.
Cons
- Soluno does not allow for multiple trust to general transfers in one transaction.
- In my opinion, Soluno is difficult to create/customize reports and billing templates.
- As Soluno has grown, I feel their support has gotten poor.
- From my experience, Soluno is glitchy at times and appears to be an ongoing project which has farther to go to meet the needs of larger law firms.
- Soluno works best for firms that are not transaction heavy. It is not a product I would recommend to a busy real estate firm or any other type of law that is transaction heavy.
- Soluno does not allow for fee allocation until after a file is billed IE: you cannot split a fee between a responsible attorney and a working attorney at the time entry level.
- The training and support can use improvement.
- Needs to be easier to customize re: user security, billing templates, custom reports.
