SMTP2GO is great for small mail list deliverability

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SMTP2GO has been a lifesaver for my email deliverability. I run several small (100-500 user) mail lists that normally have very low traffic. However, my email provider could not/would not handle the traffic from these lists. By switching to SMTP2GO I have had superb deliverability from the emails from these lists. The price and stability of the service offer me excellent value. I expect to be a customer for a long time to come.

Pros

  • Easy to configure
  • Excellent deliverability
  • High performance.

Cons

  • Simpler definition of difference between the free and paid plans
  • Potential for a lower volume paid plan. I am only using about 20% of my allotted volume

Most Important Features

  • Simplicity
  • Cost
  • Reliability

Return on Investment

  • SMTP2GO has allowed my mails that were failing to be delivered to reliably be sent

SMTP2GO Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a Call Center and send a lot of messages daily at different times or about 50-75 thousand calls a month. We usually don't have any problems but when we do they have 'live chat' where I can get connected with someone right away & they start checking my account and resolve the issue. The last company we had, I couldn't reach them unless by email & then it could take 24-48 hours to return my email & resolve the issue. This is why we changed to SMTP2GO. I was referred by another Call Center & they have used them for many years & have had very minimal problems. It was also very easy to convert my system from the other carrier to SMTP2GO, total time about 10 minutes. (of course with the help of my IT)

Pros

  • resolves issues right away
  • always follows up to make sure everything is running smooth

Cons

  • nothing right now

Most Important Features

  • reliability
  • customer service
  • talking to an actual human voice

Return on Investment

  • positive would be that I can know that my messages will be sent & received

SMTP2GO resolved more than one niche problem that I had

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SMTP2GO in a few different scenarios:

Connecting our customer management platform to SMTP2GO gives us better visibility regarding the receipt of invoices; whether they were received, opened, clicked, or even if they bounced for some reason (it's been a while since we've had an email bounce, so I can't recall if the reason is listed or not)

Configuring older standup MFPs to use O365 as an outgoing mail server can be quite difficult (if not impossible) as most haven't received upgrades to use the newest security features. Utilizing SMTP2GO provides an easy alternative while still providing a secure connection and providing that visibility as to whether the email was successful, or if the scanner even tried to send the email.

We have a few clients that we have implemented on-premise, unmanaged backup software; use of SMTP2GO as the outbound email server is a breeze.

An added benefit is the ability to setup multiple users in the dashboard (which we assign to each service: invoices, scans, backup); this combined with the user filter allows us to quickly see if there has been an issue based on which service we are tracking.

Pros

  • Multicolored graph on the dashboard provides great amount of information in a single view.
  • Settings panel provides granularization that permits customizing each user's abilities and limitations.
  • Integrating DKIM and SPF for use with your own domain ensures the security that is needed in the modern email ecosystem, and the MFA provides the account security to which we're all accustomed.
  • Providing a reseller option provides an additional source of recurring revenue, while providing clients with trusted, needed services.

Cons

  • The only thing that I can say that I'd like to see, is a mobile app for administration, so that I don't have to authenticate every time I login from my phone. (Android app for me please)

Most Important Features

  • Email tracking
  • Wide interoperability
  • User accounts for reviewing data concisely

Return on Investment

  • It has shown me a few bounced emails and allowed me to make changes that prevented future bounces, ensuring my emails were received by all recipients.
  • It allows me to know whether or not a client has actually received an email, when they claim they never got it.

Excellent SMTP service for printers and other embedded devices

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We leverage SMTP2GO for all our legacy device transactional email services. From servers, to embedded print servers, NVR device notifications, etc. SMTP2GO has implemented SMTP securely, is very affordable, and just works! More often than not we've used it to clean up Print Vendor's email configurations that used an @gmail address that stopped working for Scan to Email function after Google implemented their new secure login policies, giving more control over these devices, setting up client's domain's @clientdomain.com, emails for scan to email, and enhancing security.

Pros

  • Secure SMTP Transactional Email
  • Easy to add sub-accounts for clients
  • Easy to add verified domains for unique sender addresses
  • Support and service are great! We even get call backs from their main number!

Cons

  • Overall satisfying product, hard to see how it can improve

Most Important Features

  • Cost
  • Ease of Use
  • Sub accounts

Return on Investment

  • Increased management ease
  • Increased security for clients

We use SMTP2GO to send our statements and invoices to our customers. We are also a copier/scanner dealer and use SMTP2GO to setup scan to email for some our clients that do not know their email server information. SMTP2GO has been a great addition to our organization as it allows easy configuration and implementation for our own use in house and for our customers.
