Business Problems Solved
SimpleTexting offers a versatile set of use cases that cater to a diverse range of needs. With its monthly supporter engagement feature, users can connect with their supporters by providing exclusive content and gathering valuable feedback. The short-code setup enables churches to instantly reach out to visitors and keep them updated on various ministries.
For marketing purposes, SimpleTexting serves as both a mass and niche marketing tool, allowing users to send personalized messages, as well as links, forms, and surveys. It proves particularly useful in communicating with conference attendees, providing timely announcements and accommodating schedule changes. Moreover, SimpleTexting meets the communication preferences of Gen Z individuals who find email obsolete.
Non-profit organizations and sports teams also benefit from SimpleTexting's capabilities. A minor league baseball team utilizes it to inform fans about upcoming games and maintain their engagement. Meanwhile, a weather consulting service effectively delivers weather updates and associated PDFs to clients. In the healthcare sector, SimpleTexting aids in sending news updates and deals to patients.
The product provides seamless communication experiences for appointment reminders, connecting with unreachable clients via phone, notifying clients of upcoming program offerings, and ensuring fitness boutique studio owners are informed about retail lookbook releases.
It is an effective tool for creating connections beyond event encounters through keyword texting and automatic replies, linking new acquaintances to online communities. Marketing departments utilize SimpleTexting for customer communication and offers dissemination while onsite marketing campaigns employ it to distribute rewards to potential users for engaging with platforms.
Additionally, SimpleTexting streamlines mass communication within organizations by sending reminders for appointments and reaching out to individuals who cannot be contacted by phone. Meal packing events become organized more efficiently with SimpleTexting by engaging populations and volunteers while enhancing the overall client experience.
For churches without an email newsletter system, SimpleTexting facilitates updates and reminders transmission to congregations. App developers leverage the product's capabilities for driving app downloads via SMS shortcodes. By sending mass text messages, SimpleTexting allows organizations to disseminate project donation requests and live streaming alerts to volunteers, supporters, and donors.
On the internal front, SimpleTexting proves invaluable for sending immediate messages to staff, members, and guests. The platform boosts attendance and social media live views. It is also employed for marketing purposes by promoting coding classes and events while being a vital channel for critical customer communication. Lastly, SimpleTexting assists in contacting leads in the homebuilding industry, ensuring efficient communication tracking through a linked database system.
We use SimpleTexting to engage with monthly supporters. It's a perk monthly donors receive when they sign up, and through texting, they have access to exclusive content that is just for them, or they receive it before others. We also solicit feedback and enjoy hearing from supporters through SimpleTexting as well. For us, it's a way to highlight the relational aspect of joining our organization as a supporter and the nature that the organization and its donors are in the work together.
Pros
Easy, quick and simple set-up, you can hit the ground running
Tracking texts sent, texts received for easy communication
Ways for people to sign-up and opt-in to receive texts is easy and clear
Cons
It has been difficult to use the platform on one account for more than one purpose (toll-free texting AND shortcodes, for example)
I don't hear about product updates unless I visit the website; it would be beneficial if there were even a newsletter for existing customers
There isn't an integration for our organization's current CRM

SimpleTexting has been wonderful for the purposes for which we signed up. We wanted an easy-to-use platform that allowed 2-way texting, assigned a phone number, had the ability to collect phone numbers/contact easily (whether through an import or a user sign-up, spoiler SimpleTexting has both), etc. It has provided all of that and more easily, without a contract. And the platform is so easy to use for our team. One of the only issues we're having is wanting to expand our use of SimpleTexting, and using multiple options for texting (i.e., shortcode, toll-free, landline/business enabling) has been difficult on one account.
We use this to communicate with attendees during a conference for announcements and schedule changes. It also serves as a reminder to students on our campuses about different events or details regarding an event they are already coming to. As Gen Z could agree that email seems obsolete to them, their phone usage is still incredibly high so we know this meets them where they're at to get pertinent information to them.
Pros
Easy to use - app on your phone to send quickly.
Make different lists of people.
Can schedule texts to go out ahead of time.
Cons
Estimating carrier charges better.
There's a plan that has 7500 texts and then the next plan up is a ton more so I'd love to see one that's more in between for our use.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited: reaching Gen Z or others who are on their phones constantly, for quick communication, urgent communication, to send out additional resources or links. Less appropriate: for an older generation who isn't going to be using texting as much of a primary communication method, not for longer messages or explaining different things.
We use SimpleTexting strictly for mass communication from organization to members and department staff.
Pros

Cons
I feel they can improve with the number of characters that can be sent out

Being able to go in and change status to active or inactive is great. Also being able to reply back to specific people is great and not always a mass text.

SimpleTexting is great if you have 10-50 employees or 100+ employees. Once you figure out your use case scenarios, SimpleTexting can help you pick out a great plan that suits your needs! You can update your "credits" per month/year at any time as well. Their features are great if you need to create a subscribers list and reach out to a specific population with reminders or even hundreds of people at a time. We use SimpleTexting for reminders, updates on our events, and so much more!
We used it as an opportunity to link new people we met at events to our online community through keyword texting and automatic replies forwarding them in the appropriate direction thereafter. The key problem we were facing was a lack of connection between physical connection and ongoing online contact. SimpleTexting provided a simple platform where we were able to meet that need.
Pros
Unlimited keywords.
Simple to set up triggers.
Easy access to data.
Cons
Direct messaging feature "unread" feature sometimes unclear.
Direct messaging "search" feature requires a specific format to find the number.

SimpleTexting is well suited for anyone wanting to get entry level text marketing experience. The reason we moved away from the platform was because we needed solutions that required custom development, but our experience with SimpleTexting was an immediate access to the base product that we were wanting, with the experience that allowed us to iterate and expand. For anyone wanting to do the same, my experience with SimpleTexting was great.
Our whole organization uses SimpleTexting. We use it daily to remind clients of their appointments and two to three times a week to reach out to people we haven't been able to reach via phone. We also use it to alert clients of upcoming program and service offerings and reset appointments when clients have missed them.
Pros
Simple.
Easy to use.
Great interface.

We have suggested it to all affiliates of Dress for Success. There are over one hundred and fifty affiliates of Dress for Success, which is a nonprofit, across the globe and we have recommended it to all affiliates. However, our affiliate is moving to use Salesforce and I will be looking for a free SMS interface and hoping that SimpleTexting will work.
SimpleTexting is being used as a way to communicate and send offers to our customers. The Marketing department manages the use of it, the offers, the scheduling, etc.
Pros
SimpleTexting is easy to use. Multiple users can access the dashboard and send texts and manage contacts
We have had great success running multiple promotions at once by using different keywords to trigger various offers. For example, one keyword will trigger a free service, and another keyword will trigger a discount off product or service.
Simpletexting lets us segment our list which is extremely helpful in sending out market specific offers
Cons
It would be nice to have more characters to use in the body of the text.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for a general overall customer base. Although we can segment a little by geographical area, we cannot segment based on individuals.
SimpleTexting gives us the functionality we need to send mass text messages to any segment of our population that we need to send specific communications to. We can send out links, forms, and surveys to get any kind of information we need. We can also use fields like First Name to send personalized messages to our recipients. It is a fast and easy way to send out information to large groups of people.
Pros
Schedule messages to be sent out at a future time or date
It is easy to use
The admin dashboard is intuitive and gives relevant information
Cons
The mobile app isn't awesome

SimpleTexting is great if you want, as the name suggests, simple mass texting capabilities. It isn't too complicated, it's easy to use, and it does what it advertises. The number for people to sign up is easy to remember (555888) and it's easy to set simple keywords. If you're looking for something more robust with all sorts of nuanced capabilities, this may still work but you may want to look somewhere else.
