Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We began using SimpleTexting during the beginning of the pandemic so that our clients could text in that they had arrived versus having to sit in a lobby with other clients. This way we could bring them straight into their room and bypass being in a confined space with others.

It allowed our clients to quickly and easily message us for arrival and any questions or updates. It was an added form of communication that our clients used daily.

This is past tense as we recently moved to an all-inclusive (phone/fax/text) system. SimpleTexting broadened our lines of communication with our clients. Communication became simpler and quicker. Many of our clients preferred the ability to text versus having to call thus making no-shows less frequent and allowing us to answer questions quicker. Campaign texting was easy to set up and use on days we had to close due to weather. Pop-up notifications on the desktop made it easier for us to work with it running in the background. Adding SimpleTexting to our routine was not difficult at all.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used SimpleTexting primarily for scheduling reminders and customer communication. We did also use it for some communication with technicians. We as a company install internet and need people to be home for it so customer interactions are crucial to our business. We would send 20000 texts a month out to customers so it was important to have a very functional application to carry out the job.

With out company transitioning to salesforce we were unable to integrate it well with the new CRM,
Separating and transferring conversations between departments was not very easy.
Having quick replies would be nice

If you do not need to integrate your communication tools with your CRM this is a good tool otherwise you might want a fully functional tool that includes calling, chats, emails. If you are a smaller company with a small Customer experience department this could be good fit for you. Larger companies with many departments needing to act on the same communication would not be a good fit for this program.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SimpleTexting to engage with monthly supporters. It's a perk monthly donors receive when they sign up, and through texting, they have access to exclusive content that is just for them, or they receive it before others. We also solicit feedback and enjoy hearing from supporters through SimpleTexting as well. For us, it's a way to highlight the relational aspect of joining our organization as a supporter and the nature that the organization and its donors are in the work together.

Ways for people to sign-up and opt-in to receive texts is easy and clear

Cons

It has been difficult to use the platform on one account for more than one purpose (toll-free texting AND shortcodes, for example)
I don't hear about product updates unless I visit the website; it would be beneficial if there were even a newsletter for existing customers
There isn't an integration for our organization's current CRM

SimpleTexting has been wonderful for the purposes for which we signed up. We wanted an easy-to-use platform that allowed 2-way texting, assigned a phone number, had the ability to collect phone numbers/contact easily (whether through an import or a user sign-up, spoiler SimpleTexting has both), etc. It has provided all of that and more easily, without a contract. And the platform is so easy to use for our team. One of the only issues we're having is wanting to expand our use of SimpleTexting, and using multiple options for texting (i.e., shortcode, toll-free, landline/business enabling) has been difficult on one account.

We use this to communicate with attendees during a conference for announcements and schedule changes. It also serves as a reminder to students on our campuses about different events or details regarding an event they are already coming to. As Gen Z could agree that email seems obsolete to them, their phone usage is still incredibly high so we know this meets them where they're at to get pertinent information to them.

Make different lists of people.
Can schedule texts to go out ahead of time.

Cons

Estimating carrier charges better.
There's a plan that has 7500 texts and then the next plan up is a ton more so I'd love to see one that's more in between for our use.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited: reaching Gen Z or others who are on their phones constantly, for quick communication, urgent communication, to send out additional resources or links.

Less appropriate: for an older generation who isn't going to be using texting as much of a primary communication method, not for longer messages or explaining different things.

We currently use SimpleTexting to send out mass text messages to our volunteers, supporters, and donors. with SimpleTexting we are able to send out “call to action”, project donation requests, or “tune in” messages when we are live streaming.

Pros

Signing up to be on the subscriber's list is extremely easy. Texting a single word to a number is extremely helpful.
Communication with customer service is great.

Cons

I would like to see them return to using short code numbers to subscribe.

Thanks to SimpleTexting we are able to communicate effectively and immediately with the staff, members, and guests who look to stay in touch with the organization. We use SimpleTexting to solve our clients' marketing needs. SimpleTexting is part of our larger integration and marketing strategy for clients in all kinds of industries. Most recently we used SimpleTexting to spread the word to fans about upcoming games for a Minor League Baseball Team! The loyal fans truly appreciated being in the know as to when the games were going to be. SimpleTexting helped our client keep their fans engaged.

Specifically, this program is great for loyal customers and event- or sales-driven businesses looking to quickly inform their clientele about events or sales. You can, however, use this program in all kinds of problem-solving ways - you could even integrate it with restaurant reservation software. SimpleTexting may be less appropriate for broad random blasts to unknown or non-engaged numbers.

SimpleTexting is used by our Client Experience Department. We use SimpleTexting to engage the populations that we serve as well as to engage our volunteers for our meal packing events. This has solved and streamlined a lot of processes when it comes to our overall client experience. In the future, we plan to use this for all lines of business including events, volunteers, and our donors!

SimpleTexting is great if you have 10-50 employees or 100+ employees. Once you figure out your use case scenarios, SimpleTexting can help you pick out a great plan that suits your needs! You can update your "credits" per month/year at any time as well. Their features are great if you need to create a subscribers list and reach out to a specific population with reminders or even hundreds of people at a time. We use SimpleTexting for reminders, updates on our events, and so much more!
