We began using SimpleTexting during the beginning of the pandemic so that our clients could text in that they had arrived versus having to sit in a lobby with other clients. This way we could bring them straight into their room and bypass being in a confined space with others.
It allowed our clients to quickly and easily message us for arrival and any questions or updates. It was an added form of communication that our clients used daily.
Pros
Broadening communication options
User friendly functionality
Competitive and fair pricing
Searchability and organization of information
Campaign texts
Cons
Porting your number out
Likelihood to Recommend
This is past tense as we recently moved to an all-inclusive (phone/fax/text) system. SimpleTexting broadened our lines of communication with our clients. Communication became simpler and quicker. Many of our clients preferred the ability to text versus having to call thus making no-shows less frequent and allowing us to answer questions quicker. Campaign texting was easy to set up and use on days we had to close due to weather. Pop-up notifications on the desktop made it easier for us to work with it running in the background. Adding SimpleTexting to our routine was not difficult at all.

We currently use SimpleTexting to send out mass text messages to our volunteers, supporters, and donors. with SimpleTexting we are able to send out “call to action”, project donation requests, or “tune in” messages when we are live streaming.
Pros
Signing up to be on the subscriber's list is extremely easy. Texting a single word to a number is extremely helpful.
Communication with customer service is great.
Cons
I would like to see them return to using short code numbers to subscribe.

SimpleTexting is well suited when it comes to scheduling future text and setting up campaigns. This allows us to set weekly reminders to go out without doing it manually every week.
We use SimpleTexting to solve our clients' marketing needs. SimpleTexting is part of our larger integration and marketing strategy for clients in all kinds of industries. Most recently we used SimpleTexting to spread the word to fans about upcoming games for a Minor League Baseball Team! The loyal fans truly appreciated being in the know as to when the games were going to be. SimpleTexting helped our client keep their fans engaged.
Pros
Keep fans engaged and updated.
Integrating with other software programs.
User friendly interface.
Cons
Could have better options for drip campaigns.
Likelihood to Recommend
SimpleTexting is fantastic for direct consumer marketing campaigns. Specifically, this program is great for loyal customers and event- or sales-driven businesses looking to quickly inform their clientele about events or sales. You can, however, use this program in all kinds of problem-solving ways - you could even integrate it with restaurant reservation software. SimpleTexting may be less appropriate for broad random blasts to unknown or non-engaged numbers.
SimpleTexting is used by our Client Experience Department. We use SimpleTexting to engage the populations that we serve as well as to engage our volunteers for our meal packing events. This has solved and streamlined a lot of processes when it comes to our overall client experience. In the future, we plan to use this for all lines of business including events, volunteers, and our donors!
Pros
Easy to use
Great Help Center/Live Chat Access
Easy Functionality
Cons
More detailed information on program tiers
rolling over "credits" or texts per month or annually
Data collection for campaigns
Likelihood to Recommend
SimpleTexting is great if you have 10-50 employees or 100+ employees. Once you figure out your use case scenarios, SimpleTexting can help you pick out a great plan that suits your needs! You can update your "credits" per month/year at any time as well. Their features are great if you need to create a subscribers list and reach out to a specific population with reminders or even hundreds of people at a time. We use SimpleTexting for reminders, updates on our events, and so much more!
I use SimpleTexting for sending both marketing texts to promote our monthly coding classes, coding camps, and upcoming events, as well as for critical customer communication such as closings or customer-only specials. It helps us deliver our message to our different audiences for communication that we want to assure they see.
Pros
Simple to use
Easy to reply to messages
Cost effective
Cons
Tracking is somewhat lacking.
Tagging is somewhat hard.
Subscriber list UI is a bit convoluted.
Likelihood to Recommend
For messages where you have more than a few tags, it is not well suited. If you need advanced functionality, such as managing multiple types of lists/communication preferences, SimpleTexting is not the tool for you. If you are trying to something straightforward, like text a big group of people with basic tagging, it is a good tool.
I use the SimpleTexting to send out weather updates and attached PDFs to my Weather Consulting clients. I use both the main texting functionality and the campaign scheduling functionality with my updates to clients. I also use the mobile app functionality with my updates. I am the sole user of this platform. Many of my customers wanted updates via text, so this is why I explored the service.
Pros
Campaign scheduling
Attaching assets to text messages
Rollover credits
Cons
A lot of glitches and bugs, with promised fixes that keep dragging on for some time.
Mobile notifications are very buggy. You have to keep force-closing the app and re-opening it multiple times to get the notifications to refresh.
Constant toggling of 'Unread' and 'All' on mobile or desktop to get the notifications to clear and show up as opened, otherwise it will imply it's not read.
Also, sometimes new notifications don't show up.
Likelihood to Recommend
I want to love it. SimpleTexting does everything I need it to when it works, but the bugs are very frustrating and have been ongoing for some time. I almost canceled for another service, but when I was very busy with clients, it was too late to switch and sign up with a new provider and get an all-new phone number. I think this company should work less on acquiring customers and focus more on fixing their bugs so they can do what they promise, flawlessly. If you look at the reviews on the mobile app and try it for yourself, you will see a lot of these issues continue to be ongoing with no resolution. Even to the moment I am writing this, some of the glitches that I keep getting told are resolved are still ongoing and it's almost May. These issues have been going on since late 2019 or longer--since I joined.
We used it as an opportunity to link new people we met at events to our online community through keyword texting and automatic replies forwarding them in the appropriate direction thereafter. The key problem we were facing was a lack of connection between physical connection and ongoing online contact. SimpleTexting provided a simple platform where we were able to meet that need.
Pros
Unlimited keywords.
Simple to set up triggers.
Easy access to data.
Cons
Direct messaging feature "unread" feature sometimes unclear.
Direct messaging "search" feature requires a specific format to find the number.
Likelihood to Recommend
SimpleTexting is well suited for anyone wanting to get entry level text marketing experience. The reason we moved away from the platform was because we needed solutions that required custom development, but our experience with SimpleTexting was an immediate access to the base product that we were wanting, with the experience that allowed us to iterate and expand. For anyone wanting to do the same, my experience with SimpleTexting was great.
It is being used by our team to manage a client's account. It's a great way to quickly send the latest news and deals to their patients.
Pros
Ease of use.
Easy to create segments.
Easy to schedule.
Cons
None.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's well suited for shorter, concise messages. If you have a large list to send to, and your message spills into multiple texts, the cost goes up quickly.
Our whole organization uses SimpleTexting. We use it daily to remind clients of their appointments and two to three times a week to reach out to people we haven't been able to reach via phone. We also use it to alert clients of upcoming program and service offerings and reset appointments when clients have missed them.
Pros
Simple.
Easy to use.
Great interface.

We have suggested it to all affiliates of Dress for Success. There are over one hundred and fifty affiliates of Dress for Success, which is a nonprofit, across the globe and we have recommended it to all affiliates. However, our affiliate is moving to use Salesforce and I will be looking for a free SMS interface and hoping that SimpleTexting will work.
SimpleTexting gives us the functionality we need to send mass text messages to any segment of our population that we need to send specific communications to. We can send out links, forms, and surveys to get any kind of information we need. We can also use fields like First Name to send personalized messages to our recipients. It is a fast and easy way to send out information to large groups of people.
Pros
Schedule messages to be sent out at a future time or date
It is easy to use
The admin dashboard is intuitive and gives relevant information
Cons
The mobile app isn't awesome
Likelihood to Recommend
SimpleTexting is great if you want, as the name suggests, simple mass texting capabilities. It isn't too complicated, it's easy to use, and it does what it advertises. The number for people to sign up is easy to remember (555888) and it's easy to set simple keywords. If you're looking for something more robust with all sorts of nuanced capabilities, this may still work but you may want to look somewhere else.
