What is Sidekick?
Because employees at work spend most of their time working in web applications, Sidekick aims to reimagine the browser UX around apps, in order to create a better way to work in the most productive applications on the web.
Sidekick makes all needed apps available in the sidebar, and also provides single sign-on capabilities, giving users access to all needed apps simultaneously. Sidekick also collects notifications and message from apps and makes these accessible as well. Alerts can be customized, or muted. Additionally, Sidekick offers a unifying search bar that tracks activity in all associated apps and browser history.

tabs organized with sessions
While working, tabs can multiply out of control. Sidekick helps users manage them with sessions, and with less effort.
As a browser, Sidekick also blocks data-grabbing ads and trackers, even the ones that "respect privacy.” Also, the vendor states Sidekick never sells access to data. That includes searches, browsing history, and personal information.
Sidekick is available on a perpetually free plan, or via commercial plans with expanded feature sets.
- Keep tabs together - Sidekick groups your tabs into a session. Create multiple sessions and organize them around a workflow.
- Manage tabs with reduced effort - Access sessions from Sidekick’s sidecar. From there they can be opened, pinned, organized, or moved.
- Switch between sessions - All sessions are automatically saved. It is possible to show only the tabs needed, while switching between sessions with a single click.
